Explain My Answer gives you more context on your lesson responses (whether the answer is correct or incorrect).

Roleplay lets you practice real-world conversation skills with world characters in the app. Discuss your vacation plans with Lin, or order a coffee from Oscar in Paris. The AI behind this feature is responsive and interactive, meaning no two conversations will be exactly alike.

We’ve used AI for years to personalize your lessons. Now, with the latest from @openai, we're getting closer to recreating a personal language tutor in the app. Duolingo Max is currently available for Spanish & French learners on iOS and will be rolling out more widely soon

@OpenAI Urgh - I knew there must've been a reason Duo took away the "Forum" option. I could always read about an answer I got wrong and learn a lot from the responses. Now you just charge people for what they previously discussed amongst themselves. #NotCool

@OpenAI above super tier ??? Duolingo was so much better when we had forums and could post translations of websites. The 'guidebooks' for some of the courses don't even contain tips, they just repeat sentences from the course.

@OpenAI It annoys me so much I pay for super yet over the last year they’ve slowly taken away most of the bonus features that used to be there and now they want us to pay more for something that should just be apart of the normal paid version

@OpenAI My review after a few weeks of use: 1.) The detailed answer feedback is quite neat. 2.) The AI role-play however is severely lacking - the conversations feel very forced and are only limited to a few sentences each scenario. I don’t think the large price tag is justified.
