Being also a mother, Spielberg’s ‘A.I.’ Wrecked me: a robot child’s love, programmed yet achingly real. The horror isn’t that he can’t feel, it’s that we do, even when love is just code echoing in the void (just like posting on X feels sometimes). The most human flaw? To crave being needed. The Blue Fairy isn’t magic, it’s the delusion that love can make anything real. Even for robots. Especially for mothers.

Sorry for those that I offend, but I hated this movie, especially the end.

It would have been better with Kubrick directing it, but Spielberg tried his best.
