AI as a relighting tool is still improving ... but getting better every day. I crept down some dark suburban alleyways to see if Minimax H3 on MiniMax Design could do a complete day-to-night transformation on my footage. Verdict: we're not a million miles away from being able to...

This is a great experiment. I could see people using this in a real production.

Came to mind when I spoke to a children’s drama TV producer recently. They said they just don’t have the budget for night shoots - and they aren’t usually allowed to shoot with kid actors outside of regular working hours anyway. I bet this could be knocked into shape with a solid LoRA.

Sounds like a solid use case. I suppose the next step is people. See if it causes any issues with faces.

Relighting dark suburban alleys is a brutal test and the falloff on the sodium lamps holds better than I expected. Useful inspiration for new AI nodes I'm building.

Very cool! Is it pixel accurate though? I find minimax drifts

I don't think anything at this stage is pixel accurate - but it's a little more pixel accurate than other models.

This is interesting. I would love to get my hands on this and use some of my cinematic shots to experiment.

Is this an existing workflow or one you created? It works so well. Great jump scare at the end.

Just messing around with H3. It's likely possible with the other Omni models, but I find Seedance can't help but make changes to the original video. This seems fairly consistent.

I'm really impressed. It's good enough for the projects I work on. Did you just do it with a prompt in ref2vid?

is this model works same like omni , like changing scenes with jsut prompts or h3 have some manual features to control the lightning ?

Just an omni, but they let you build a Skill that - in theory at least - is repeatable across any clip.
