I wanted someone to come up with a less slight-of-hand morph-ball transformation before I did all my life. but nobody stepped up. So I had to take things into my own hands.

I think the ball mode should have been large enough for her body and not morph down in size. Could be wrong?

I like this one a lot more than just going from a Static pose into the Morph Ball. The smaller armor plating is a very nice touch, especially when taking into account that canonically it’s like a protective layer of high-tech skin. You do good work dawg.

I have always felt that the Other M design turned the concept in a more Power-Ranger's read. And I was always more drawn to the older, clunky tin-man designs. So I wanted to spin that idea with the question: How do we design the Varia suit in a way where it builds a Morph Ball?

Samus isn't a transformer. She doesn't just disassemble into robot parts. Check your AI slop.

the mechanics of the ball are pretty good but the animation of samus feels simultaneously floaty and stiff to me

it was slowed down to be easier for viewers to read and appreciate the workings of.

Awesome job with that animation! That looks super hard to make. I only comment due to your catch line about AI. I disagree, I think AI will one day be infinitely better at creating this particular animation. That or the equivalent of you spending 20 years on it.

I could do a lot better at making morph ball transformation sequences today than when I animated the video to begin with. I like a good challenge.

I should have lead with this honestly, but this model is super impressive. Like the material variants, the emssives, the faint outline when she stands up, and even the unique details, style and form make this a solid model.

I mean its called a Morph ball for a reason, her chozo dna combine with the suit allows her to morph into it, while a space pirate, not having chozo dna, ends up just being crushed.
