AI For The Poor, Human Intelligence For The Rich Western capitalists are selling AI to us as “the great equalizer”. But it is really not. What we are seeing is a new class system being built in real time. The rich will still pay for human teachers, human doctors, human consultants, human artists, and human care. Everyone else will be told that an AI version is good enough. When poor children are offered AI tutors instead of more teachers or working-class patients are pushed toward AI health tools instead of proper medical care, we should pay attention. AI may be useful, but it is also becoming a cheaper substitute for people who already have less. This is why African governments must be very careful about the AI policies they adopt. We cannot afford to copy and paste technology policies from the West without asking whose interests they serve. If we are not careful, AI will become another tool used to manage poverty instead of solving the systems that created it. Africans also need to be more critical of how AI is being introduced into education, healthcare, governance, welfare, and other public services. Who owns the technology? Who controls the data? Who profits from the contracts? Who is accountable when these systems fail? And most importantly, who is being asked to accept AI instead of real human care? Africa must not become a testing ground for Western-imposed systems that deepen inequality under the guise of innovation.

The AI business model is undergoing a transformation. For the last few years, the playbook was simple: put an AI wrapper on a SaaS product and sell it by the seat. That era is ending. The new wave of AI companies are moving beyond simple subscriptions and embracing a more sophisticated approach tied directly to value creation. Here’s what’s changing: 💰 From Seats to Spend: The most forward-thinking companies are shifting to usage-based and outcome-driven pricing. Think less about how many people use the AI and more about what the AI does. This includes new revenue streams like "agentic checkout" on ChatGPT, where AI agents complete purchases and transactions directly within a chat interface. The closer the AI is to the dollar, the more value it captures. 🎙️ From Text to Voice & Video: The interface for AI is becoming more human. Voice is mainstream (Sierra for support, Listen Labs for market research). The next frontier is video, where AI will see, understand, and interact with the world in real-time. The keyboard is no longer the only way to talk to a machine. 🤖 From Advisors to Actors: Early AI copilots gave advice. The next generation takes action. These agents aren't just suggesting what to do; they are executing complex workflows that directly impact the metrics that matter: boosting conversion, reducing average handle time (AHT), improving NPS, and cutting churn. This is about moving from passive assistance to active problem-solving. The common thread? A relentless focus on tangible ROI. We’re incredibly bullish on founders who understand this shift and are building companies that align their success with the success of their customers. The future of AI isn't just about intelligence; it's about impact.

The Architects of AI Have a Blueprint for Humanity. It’s Not What You’ve Been Sold. A chilling revelation from Whitney Webb’s analysis of the Kissinger-Schmidt doctrine on artificial intelligence. The "convenience" narrative is a facade for the elite's true ambition: a fundamental war on human perception. According to Webb's dissection of "The Age of AI," the real promise, as seen by figures like Eric Schmidt—architect of the U.S. national security state's AI roadmap—is to forever alter how humanity processes reality. Their envisioned future? - An information ecosystem dominated by AI-generated content. - That same AI acting as the omnipresent censor. - A world where humanity is gradually conditioned to depend on AI to dictate what is real and what is not. This is the ultimate perception management. They create a problem of AI-powered misinformation and propose a solution of total AI control, creating a self-justifying loop of dependency. The end goal? The deliberate creation of a two-tier society: 🔺 A Cognitively Enhanced Elite: Those who program, regulate, and are enhanced by AI. They set the objective functions and control the reality engine. 🔻 A Cognitively Diminished Underclass: The vast majority, acted upon by the AI system. They become emotionally manipulated, lose the capacity for critical thought, and are forced to outsource their thinking and even their preferences to the algorithm. This is a direct war for sovereignty over human perception. As Webb powerfully argues, the solution is not to reform this system, but to build a post-social media, post-smartphone world if we are to avoid this dystopian, post-human future. The choice is becoming stark: reclaim our cognitive autonomy or surrender to becoming managed subjects in a world we no longer understand.
