I have my doubts about an entire visual screen dimension being generated and not rendered. Perhaps, extra frames, scaling, or screen effects… While I’d agree most of game design and mechanics will be generated based on contextual prompting, I don’t believe the entire visual experience will be. Can you imagine each time playing a puzzle game, and the game would appear slightly different— or perhaps totally different with no way to 100% maintain the previous visual experience. There would need to be a technical way to anchor visual fidelity for repeated play and I just don’t see that as possible with generative technologies.

Wow. I saw this paper this week and didn’t give too much thought to it. But your explanation and video was very helpful. Ai can create video games and any content on the fly personalized to the user. Very cool.

We will create a Matrix reality for sure (more sure than not). The question is, are we already part of a Matrix created by someone else? Or are we going to be the first one to create the Matrix?

Curious how viable using diffusion models as game engines for the far future is for a full user experience how much optimisation would be necessary to accomodate the full customisation of every user's very own game assets will 3D assets even mean anything anymore..

IMO .. the AI techniques being proven by doing this are important, but combining AI with traditional engines will remain superior
