Agriculture may be one of the highest impact operations for AI. Here’s an (unlisted) YouTube video of an earlier robotic apple harvester, developed by Monash University. This ground-based version had a cost of around $80k.

The question is what is the performance and cost. This is what counts the most in agricultural. If it is not profitable for the plants, it will not be implemented for decades. But the idea and execution are really great.
