I believe 100% in what you just said, jsut had a similar thought a few days ago, simplifying data access like this is going to unlock so much for developers too, not just ai or agents in general.

What % of your users do you think would actually skip the UI if the API + AI flow is good enough? Power users might love it, but I wonder where the crossover point is.

Marc, I really love that you extended the API. But I'm missing a GET Payment endpoint. The reason is that partial refunds are not supported, so I want to build my own solution. If somebody refunds $10 on a $50 purchase, I want to update the purchase to $40 and add a refunded $10 purchase on top. But since I don't know the transaction ID of the original purchase, that's not possible for me. Of course, supporting partial refunds would be an even better solution. Right now, a $30 refund on a $300 purchase really messes up my analytics, since it looks like I made $270 less than I really did. Keep shipping I'm sure we'll get a solution for this soon, unless it's already live and I completely missed it haha.

This is an engineering principle => designed, engineered and tested systems are always better in performance, efficient in resource and finer in UX => so, until the moment that a human being is using a system, current UI systems will work and be economically better, but ... When consumers become more agentic AI than humans, then UI will wipe out, cause UI for agents/bots is API/MCP/...

You should just provide the one stop shop and allow users to prompt their own dashboard directly from your platform
