This was the true final battle imo. Ozai would have lost due to Aangs' previous lives and experience on tap. This? This was a duel. For their lives, for their nation, for their souls. Every interaction led to this between them. This, truly, was the only course.

What i loved the most about this scene is that the music isnt epic and energetic, its slow and somber, this isnt a brave or decisive battle, there is no victory to be had after the fight, this is an end, a very slow and painful end.
