Not any time soon. I'll be close to retirement by the time that happens

wiser words have never been said; imagine all the boomers thinking they can sell their companies into retirement & no one will buy their tech debt. But, guess what, government will step up & kick next generation's teeth in with regulations to keep the market's status quo running

Name a company where top level people are not using Excel. It doesn't put the user in a straight jacket. Ultimately, columnated data is an essential level. Use AI tools to create a database to merge and debug data. Use AI to draw narrative from data and create compliance. But, if humans are in the loop in a meaningful way, we gotta have rows and columns.

AI is nothing but a machine that generates tech debt. You vibe coded an app in an afternoon? Great! Now throw it at the real world and try to fix it when it inevitably goes wrong. You have no clue how it works.

Agreed. AI will wipe out the entire company you work for.

full episode here:

It's always weird to hear oldwr people in tech telling everyone that the only ppl that will ever win are only kids. Venture capital to ppl like this guy. While they are "old" themselves, its alway other "old" ppl that won't make and evey 18 yr old is a genius. Until they turn that magic "old" age right?

What is tech debt?

Idiot "Omg there is so much data to use and integrate AI etc" This guy has never planned a new product rollout a new service etc etc etc "Gee [Name] what does Q3 data in Western US tell us about [Product] and [strategic direction] & [tactical effort]" AI fool=0 biz judgment

Excellent video. These kids are gonna build products, make them open source so they completely wipe out the competition, and then just make money off of implementation and customizations.

the more i think about it the more i think you are 💯 correct…i’ve experienced tech debt and noticed last 10 yrs of great iT but almost all of it can’t be fully implemented into established capitalist societies who are all lumbered with tech debt, system debt

This dude doesn’t respect Excel. What does he use?

What I am building, have built and am getting ready to ship, can replace a $1million/year sas. I built it on my own. Software will be disrupted

i agree with the tech debt. but those "teenagers" wont have their own company bc they will depend on AI, depend on a bigger corporation. that is not ownership. givven AI companies survive the next few years. it doesnt look like they will.

Imagine a future where you can make your own program that does what you need it to do, without the bloat (you only need 5% of the features) and without the subscription. That's era began about 6 months ago.

Great perspective, bro… I’ve seen this in my industry. I think you’re right. Legacy systems do not integrate. If you’re going to do AI it has to be on a new platform.

truth. You will lose your job if you don't use AI there for level 1. You will then lose your job as new competitors blast past you at level 2. At level 3 the new companies do not hire for new jobs as they are AI native. We are at 1.3 rn.

Most legacy businesses knows the need to move forward. The problem is they don't have access to these so called 'AI native kids'. Filtering thru these tech consultants or even AI native kids requires another skill sets. I want to start a new efficient print shop. Who can help?

Bro get your dongsaeng.

Bro you’re so spot on.

I’m very familiar with the environment you’re talking about and I totally agree

If A.I. keeps one promise, it is that in the near future no one will understand how to run their company.

Yup.

My AI company specializes in handling tech debt during the transfer.

Interesting perspective. 🤔

Facts!

This is very well said. AI won't replace jobs, it will replace entire companies.

I work in cyber security. Tech debt is 100% the worst thing I’ve seen. Leads to fake assessments. “Pen test” our environment but don’t touch our SAP servers we know they are vulnerable but they make money lol.

some jobs perhaps

I finished your sentence. 100% agreed. Isn’t it totally insane how many people are in “business” and they have no clue how to think like a business. It’s insane. Very rare I’d say maybe 1% of anyone running a business has the capacity or natural ability to understand this. They are literally doing it for the money which the worst reason to do it. Thats why they have to take classes on how to act or treat their customers. It’s about time these companies became obsolete. The plan is to allow this to happen and let people suffer enough so they welcome in the new era. ✨💃🏻

👌

It’s not just the kids. Gen X are just as capable. You freeze them out of this at your peril.

This is soo true 🤣

Excellent video

So true
