I feel like at this point...the indies are actually what the 90's and early 2000's were at the prime of gaming. You indie developers are making some of the greatest games I have ever seen and played. Do you plan on releasing on PC and consoles?

Well, I will be getting it for sure. I have one additional question. Is this going to be a hack and slash or will there be other things to do in the game? like for example, fishing, shopping, changing clothes, puzzle solving etc

and in terms of secondary content (apart from secondary missions) there is fishing, gardening , housing, cooking, restaurants, movies and theaters, arcade (with playable games), etc…

That's really impressive. Although this tweet might be missleading specially for junior game devs setting unrealistic goals for themselves. How many of the assets characters, animations, music and sound effects etc were made by you 100% vs bought items?

After a year (and after several failed teams) I decided to restart the project alone in unreal engine. So i reused a lot of my “old” assets. The animations are made from 0, but for cutscenes animations I use motion capture.

For me animations is the hardest part (more time consuming) apart also of the rigging phase. Would be awesome if someday you can show your workflow. 😊

tbh my animation workflow is the most normal of all, in animation there are no real shortcuts. Reference video -> key poses -> in between poses -> splines -> and final cleanup. But I plan to post videos in the future showing all my workflows.

Amazing! It was 9 months starting from scratch or did you already have something basic ready?

I started the idea of ​​the game 2 years ago: the name, character designs and worlds (all of them were completely changed after a year), and the story (which was going to last 8 hours but I also changed it completely), so I reused a lot of stuff (models, old designs, etc…).

Really impressive, the game seems to compare to some big games in the industry. I hope you continue to make good progress on the project 👍. Just out of curiosity, is it very expensive to develop a game like this alone?

Thanks! Yes and no, In my case, I'm doing almost everything alone (except for music), so the real budget is very, very low (it just takes a lot of time). Now, normally normally to make a game of this style the ideal thing is to work in a team… so it would really be very expensive if I weren't doing it all.
