Q: Congresswoman, how are you feeling? Are you afraid? Rep. LaMonica McIver: Well, of course I am. I mean, I have the President of the United States and the Department of Justice trying to send me to jail for 17 years. That’s very frightening. I think that even the Department of Justice knows that this case is extremely bogus and that it makes no sense. But once again, the point of it all is cruelty. The process is the pain for them, and they enjoy that, and they’re watching me, go through that, you know, having to raise money for this case, that I’m not getting free dollars, you know, while they get to use your tax dollars to charge me. My family is stressed out about it. Obviously, I have a big belly bump in front of me, as you all can see. We should not be spending taxpayer dollars to prosecute members of Congress for them showing up to do their job.

lando: “dementia is not something that just people have as they get older. you can be born with it, young people can have it. and it affects over 50 million people around the world. so it's something that none of us want to have. and i'm a guy that my whole life is about memories. it's about creating those pictures in your mind. and the last thing i ever want to do is lose that as i get older. that's what everything in my life is about. so it's cool that i can go out and track. i can have my fun. i can go and race. but there's a kind of second meaning behind it all. and at the same time, i get to do something good for the world. and that's something that i love” ❤️❤️

New Turning Point video shows exactly why Charlie Kirk was the greatest CEO in the history of grassroots political organizations. Take just two minutes to watch this. These are the words of a transformational leader: “Well, you [Turning Point staff] are about to embark on something that is much bigger than yourself. So check your ego at the door. This is not about you, okay? I don’t care about your feelings. If you’re having a bad day, you know, go figure that out yourself. This is about us. This is about the country. And the eyes of the whole nation are, again, on Turning Point. “We do the best events in the movement. In fact, we do the only event. Are there any other events in the movement? No. We’ve kind of put everyone else out of business, right? So we are the only standard of excellence. And so we hold ourselves to a higher standard. We don’t do mediocre around here. We try to raise the level of excellence because we are constantly trying to push the conservative movement and the country to a place it’s never been before. “You guys know this. Turning Point USA is the most important organization in the country, period. Find me another organization that’s been able to move millions of people the way that we have, that does the events, that does training. Nobody does what we do at Turning Point USA, but it starts with all of you. We’re building something bigger than you, bigger than me. “We’re building an experience to help save the country. And if this type of intensity bothers you, well, then, don’t go work for Turning Point USA. You can go work for the Department of Labor or something, okay? Because here we do excellent things. We do big things. We make history here at Turning Point USA. “It’s going to be early mornings. It’s going to be late nights, but you all get to know that you’re doing something rewarding that is not just, oh, a career. And you check the box, but lives will be changed. How blessed are we that we get to be here celebrating the country. And this is our job. It’s pretty awesome. “There’s the one thing that I hear from speakers throughout all the years. Your team is so impressive and they’re so young. Why is it everybody? Because for us, we hold ourselves to a higher standard. This is not just another DC gig. This is about saving Western civilization. “We are the most important organization in the country. You are part of it. It’s something bigger than all of us, and it will have ramifications across the country. I’m so thankful for you guys. You guys have really defied gravity. And let’s continue to make history here.”

"You can either produce excellence or you can avoid criticism. But you cannot do both of those. The reason that you don't have certain excellence that you want is because you are afraid of getting criticized. You are afraid of the judgment that comes with it. You are afraid of standing out. You are afraid of being alone. You are afraid of people looking at you. You are worried about what people think of you. There are 2 categories of things in this world: 1) Things that are up to you 2) Things that are not up to you Which category does your reputation sit in? Your reputation is not up to you. I'm the one who associates your reputation with something, not you. You just do things. What's up to you? How you act. Your decisions. Your actions. That is up to you. Your reputation is not up to you. Here's how I know that: You all have a reputation about me and it's not in my control. I get to say and do whatever I say and do up here. I am in control of saying it. I am in control of doing it. The moment words leave my lips, who has control over what is done with those words? You! You are in control of what you think of me. And there's no way everybody in this room is going to think the exact same thing about me. No way. When it comes to exceptional, what we've got to understand is you can spend your whole life trying to avoid criticism and earn reputation, and it still won't be in your control. We can waste a lot of time missing out on excellence we could have been producing if we were just simply LESS trying to engineer what we wanted other people to think about us."

You graduate and then you find out that you can't make any money in that field.” “I just think about everybody in college right now that is really doing what they love and they will just never make it. I feel so bad.”

"They don't want to be thrown out of the club." Adam Carolla dissects the Hollywood lockstep leftism on display at the Grammys on Sunday: "If those people started saying, we support Trump, guess who's out? Yeah, you’re f*cking out." "Whatever the subject, you guys, here's what it is. And this will prevent you from getting kicked out of the club." "Now we're going to have an award show, and you get up there and whoever praises whatever your policies are the loudest — oh, and by the way, we hate Trump." "So you got to say something sh*tty about him. And then something great about Black Lives Matter or whatever that thing is." "Whoever does that the best is going to stay in the club the longest." "So now you have a decision to make, you know, one of three things. You can either go up there and do ICE out and nobody's illegal. You’ll be fine." “Or you can go up there and just be neutral, not say anything. But that will make people wonder if you should be in the club." “Or you can touch that third rail and say you love ICE and love Trump, in which case you're 100% out and you're going to get booed off the stage." "So why are they all in the exact same place all the time? And the answer is they're not. They don't want to be thrown out of the club.”

jihoon knowing all the tiny details that women go through when preparing ourselves in going to concerts 🥹 he even knows that we get frustrated bc we dont look as perfect inside the venue compared to when we leave our houses and assured us that the thought of wanting to look pretty for him in itself already makes us beautiful 😭 HOW CAN U NOT LOVE THIS PERSON 🐶 i know that when it rains, your curled hair falls out and everything. i know that your makeup gets messed up and all that. i take all of that into consideration when i look at you, so please don’t worry about it too much. i just don’t pay that much attention to things like that, so don’t worry about it 🐶 isn’t it actually better that i know these things? if i didn’t know, you might think i would find it strange. but i know all of that. i know i know. so don’t worry about things like that 🐶 people with curly hair straighten their hair before coming, but then suddenly it starts getting curly again because of the humidity, and the volume in their hair completely dies down 🐶 i also know that you can leave home thinking “this is the prettiest i habe looked” and then when you arrive at the venue, you look so different from how you did at home, and then it can make you upset because the singer you like is going to see you like this. i know that. 🐶 no my hair gets flat too, and my makeup gets messed up too. when it rains and it gets humid, im like that too so what. ah you don’t have to be embarrassed. you don’t have to be embarrassed because i wont pay attention to it. you don’t have to be embarrassed. 🐶 just come comfortably, and dress up however you want. just think “i’m the prettiest today”, “i’m the coolest”. dress up looking your best and come. come and have fun. 🐶 isn’t everyone like that? when people are in front of someone they like, they want to look good right? they want to show their best selves. 🐶 but whenever it’s an important day, you get sick, or a pimple suddenly comes up on your face. and on days that aren’t important, your skin looks amazing, or you somehow keep losing weight. that’s just how life is for people. it’s not just me. you all probably experience that too. 🐶 because you want to meet us so badly, and because all your attention is focused on us, you might come with a pimple on your face. things might not go the way you want them to. i know all that. i’m a person just like you. i know what it’s like when something happens on an important day. just think of it as me not seeing those things. so come comfortably. 🐶 yeah i know you want to look pretty. and because i know how much you want to look pretty, you look pretty to me. that feeling itself is beautiful, you know? i’m grateful. it feels like you’re being considerate of me. 🐶 when you go to meet someone, getting dressed up instead of just going out carelessly is a consideration for the person you’re meeting. of course it’s also for yourself. of course you can’t help but look pretty. 🐶 whether your makeup gets messed up, your hair curls back up, or whatever happens, its the actions themselves, each and every one of them, are all good you guys. 💬 why are you making us so emotional? 🐶 i’m not saying it because i’m trying to make you emotional. it is genuinely how i feel. i’m not saying this because i thought, “i have to make them emotional.” it’s true. i really think this way. 🐶 TREASURE MAKERs, you’re all pretty. really.. you’re all pretty. i genuinely think that way.

Back then, even when Gumayusi wasn't the starting player, it was his choice to go at the venue or not but he still chose to go because he thought it was important to be with the team and watch the matches. Q: It seems like it was tough when you were subbed out of the starting line up. Could you talk a bit more specifically about how you got through that period? Gumayusi: Usually, people say they “overcame” tough times, but lately my thinking has changed. I think that hardships aren't something you overcome, but they're something you endure. Q: On him going to the venue despite not being on the starting lineup back then Gumayusi: Actually, it was my choice whether to go or not. At first, it hurt, so I thought I didn’t want to go. But I realized that instead of thinking/dwelling on the situation negatively and doing nothing, it was more important to go there, be with the team and watch the matches. In the end, I think it was good that I went.

James Talarico points out something I’d largely forgotten about, but is as true today as when I first learned it as a teen: Democratic policies reduce the number of abortions, through family planning and contraception — not to mention comprehensive sex ed. So in a state like Texas, you *lead* with that if someone ever asks you about abortion. Don’t just ramble on about how terrible pro-lifers are — which I believe, but which will not get you far at all in a state like Texas. Say, simply, that you are pro-choice but support policies that reduce the number of abortions, and that there is room in your coalition for pro-lifers *because* of that — *because* you share that common goal.
