Researchers at the National University of Singapore have created a new underwater robot inspired by one of the ocean’s most intelligent creatures—the octopus. Designed for both practical underwater tasks and biomechanical research, the robot mimics the octopus’s unique swimming and movement abilities. “Our research journey began long ago with studying diverse principles for reaching and grasping, locomotion, and swimming,” said Prof. Cecilia Laschi, who led the study. At Amazon Air, the company's main air hub in Kentucky, hundreds of self-charging robots zoom across the warehouse floor to organize orders. Cammy is still one of Dhalsims hardest matchups, but dive kicks are way easier to beat if you know how to counter correctly. Dhalsims back heavy punch (if spaced correctly) can take care of Cammys optimal dive kick spacing while also anti airing normal jump. Back heavy punch pulls Dhalsim back forcing Cammy to whiff dive kick, sometimes hitting her grounded or anti air juggling. Both punishes are easy to react to and convert on the fly, so don't let Cammy get away with spamming dive kick!

This is what flying through a hailstorm looks like from an Airbus A320 cabin over Paraguay in an absolute emergency. There are five ways pilots can tackle a thunderstorm while airborne: 1. Fly around 2. Fly over 3. Divert 4. Fly under 5. Fly through In that order. Flying under and flying through are both dangerous options, although flying under can be slightly safer depending on the storm. Jet engines are actually tested and certified for hailstone ingestion. The rest of the aircraft, maybe not. On weather radar, color codes are used to represent different intensities of precipitation and weather conditions: Green: Light precipitation, such as drizzle or light rain. Yellow: Moderate precipitation, indicating heavier rain or snow. Red: Heavy precipitation, such as thunderstorms or intense rain. Magenta: Extreme precipitation, often associated with severe weather, hail, or severe turbulence. 📹: Omegasix

✈️ So nerdy but this Airbus A380 by FlyByWire Simulations has an entire cabin where you can walk around or sit while you fly in Flight Simulator 2024 Kinda hard to take off without seeing the cockpit but I tried :D Take off from Lisbon Airport to Doha 😊👌 Especially the sounds are so real, the shaking of the entire thing when taking off and then it sounds different depending where in the plane you stand and the sound becomes diffuse/bassey when you fly higher A380 is one of my fav planes to fly both in FS and real life, it's so comfy, sad it got discontinued (cause it was too big)

Robots are coming for one of agriculture's most delicate jobs. Picking berries! 🍓 This is Fieldwork Robotics' Fieldworker 1 platform, designed to autonomously harvest raspberries at speeds comparable to human workers. That might sound simple, but berry picking is one of the hardest challenges in agricultural robotics. The robot needs to identify ripe fruit, avoid damaging fragile berries, and operate efficiently in a constantly changing environment. Fieldworker 1 uses custom AI systems and spectral analysis to assess ripeness and is designed so that a single operator can supervise multiple robots in the field. Agriculture continues to face labor shortages across many regions, while growers are under pressure to improve productivity and reduce waste. That's creating a strong demand for automation solutions that can work alongside existing operations. Fieldwork is already running trials with Costa Group, one of Australia's largest fruit growers, and joins a growing group of companies proving that robotic harvesting is moving from research projects into commercial deployments. The ultimate Engineering flex is making almost any shape fly.😁 AUREOLE - PVRA TriDisc is our experimental drone concept that replaces spinning propellers with Perimetric Vectoring Ring Arrays (PVRA). We place micro-nozzle belts around tri-lobed ring. These tiny jets push air to generate lift, lateral motion, and rotational control for the craft. This scene is a proof-of-concept rigid body dynamics demo rather than a full CFD. We juste wanted to see if the shape can fly. But everything is still grounded in the language of flight...control systems, aerodynamics, physics and mathematics.
