The Netherlands has a moderate climate and I seldom miss AC. At work we have AC, but we've only used it 2 times this summer.

Also the UK is north of Maine believe it or not

I keep my AC at 74.... Not to save the planet I just work outside a lot in the Texas heat and that is cool to me. Also it runs all day. I have animals at home and I want them to be cool too.

To use it for 2 days a year? Not worth the expense

You'd keep air conditioning over the Taser and/body cam?

Europeans are addicted to having a government boot (Karen) stepping on their throat.

I‘m from Germany. I’ve been to the US this summer and especially in Arizona I couldn’t wrap my head around how we live without AC in Europe. I missed that thing in my home when I got back. Sleeping at 70 degrees everyday was indeed a blessing and to pretend it’s not is silly.

Air conditioning and DVR.

Google says: England Recent Extremes: During the hot summer of 2026, temperatures peaked at 38.1°C (100.6°F) at Kew Gardens in London, and parts of the country experienced days climbing past 30°C (86°F) to 38°C. In southern and central Arizona, summer highs regularly exceed 105°F to 115°F (41°C to 46°C), with extreme desert areas occasionally topping 125°F. The state's all-time record high reached 128°F in Phoenix and 129°F in Lake Havasu City.

The hypocrisy of the left. They tell you running air conditioning is killing the planet but at the same time push heat pumps. Modern air conditioning is basically a heat pump running in reverse pulling heat out of the house.

It's like they think suffering is noble.

I can live without AC for the one week in the year that it's actually warm.
