@LadyAstroJet R1 door slide. Nobody uses that door to get on or off anyway. Even if door is on MEL inop they’d just keep seats empty around it.

When we first got the A320's at Northwest, the FA's were having problems with not disarming the slides. They finally learned, "Big handle, big trouble." There is a "slide armed" warning light if the handle was raised without the slide being disarmd or as we called it, the "too late light."

Happens on airliners more than you'd think. Door is armed, somebody opens it from inside (or outside) before the crew disarms it, and about 80 grand of slide goes bang. . Nobody hurt this time, plane went flying. But accident with staff on the ground injured or worst killed have happened.
