This older couple goes to make a turn on a highway but notices a car with the driver, a woman, with her feet hanging out of the window. After 10 years on the street and getting stabbed twice in the stomach there are many things that helped Chance get back on feet. The vets, the medicines, the shelter and the good food. But absolutely nothing has changed her life quite like Hank has. Since the first day she met him she has copied his every move. She has edged closer and closer to him. She glances over her shoulder for his presence. She tucks in behind him. She watched everything and looks for his gentle approval. For his part Hank doesn’t force anything with her. He is quite simple just “there” for her and have her so much space at the start. I watched her at the beach today doing zoomies and she ran them all around Hank as if to say “look at me now, you did this for me”. What an amazing change to her life in just 4 short months. Hats off to big Nurse Hank ❤️

WOW. I posted the opening to this clip before and noted Candace had no female role models and no principled and guiding male figures other than her grandfather. I didn’t realize the clip goes on to have Candace say that FIVE of her uncles have been incarcerated, and many of her cousins have too. She then says that her earliest memory is MARVELING AT WHAT A BLUE-EYED BLONDE HAD THAT SHE DIDN’T. I’m more convinced than ever that Candace is doing this out of deep-seated envy—envy at what the blonde-haired blue-eyed girl has, including a close relationship with her mother. I think Charlie choosing a blue-eyed blonde snapped something inside her. I also cannot believe that Candace is going after Erika’s family generations back for alleged illegal gambling or shaft dealings when her own family has recently been incarcerated in large numbers for God knows what. The audacity is actually stunning. This woman is so lost, and it’s actually really sad because if she were not mean-spirited and with a hard heart, she could quite literally have it all.
