He answers like an offended suburban father. He talks about waste management. Italian-American stereotypes. The insult of his own daughter believing such a thing. “There is no Mafia.” It would almost work if Meadow were still a child. But she has lived in that house her entire life. She has seen the money, the visitors and the way certain conversations suddenly stop when she enters a room. She isn’t asking because she needs information. She is giving Tony a chance to stop insulting her intelligence. “Dad, I’ve lived in the house all my life.” That is the line that punctures the whole performance. Tony thinks he has kept his two lives separate. Meadow quietly tells him that the separation never existed. Eventually, he gives her something: “Part of my income comes from legitimate businesses.” A perfect Tony Soprano confession. Not quite a lie, but nowhere near the truth. He admits just enough to feel honest while keeping everything ugly safely unnamed. And Meadow sees exactly what he is doing. The strange part is that Tony almost seems proud of her. She figured him out. She is smart enough to see through the waste-management story and force him closer to the truth than most people ever get. But closer is as far as Tony can go. He wants the intimacy of being an honest father without surrendering the secrecy that keeps him alive as a gangster. He cannot have both. That conflict is already there in the first season. I don’t want my 6th rewatch of The Sopranos to end but I can’t avoid it- I’m just about finished. Every time I rewatch this show, I learn or notice something new. Previous rewatches revolved around David Chase or the loaded writer’s room. Even just appreciating the entire cast top to bottom dominated my 4th rewatch. This time around? James Gandolfini is really my biggest takeaway. He was the biggest reason for this show’s success in my opinion, right above Chase. But rewatching his work again, especially as Kevin Finnerty, just baffles me. How did he do this? Where did this come from? So much of this show hinged on the performance of Tony- and Jim nailed it. And the rest is history. It’s my pick for the best television performance ever.

If you read my post about finding the goodness in loss or hard moments I said I would share this video. My husband Doug has been at the top of this sport. He has won a state title, a NCAA title, the US Open, World Team trials, placed 5th at the world, and was an Olympian. Through all that he has experienced his fair share of losses and getting through them. Our son participated in his first HS state tournament and although he came up short taking home 2nd, Doug did not have a lack of words to share with other parents who have or will go through it from his new perspective of a parent of a HS athlete. So much goodness packed into this. I challenge every parent to watch it, especially those with kids in some sort of even/sport that they compete in. Doug not only talks about validating your child's feelings because of the work it took to get there, but he speaks to the things he as an athlete experienced just now from the perspective of a parent of a High School kid. By far this is one of his best talks and knowing how his heart hurt for his kid, while probably tuning back into some of his own losses made this even more relatable. I know one thing- I'm lucky that our kids, both our own and the ones that will be joining us at UNI eventually have someone like him under the tunnel in these moments. Although my heart ached matside and I was probably 30 yards from my kid in one of his most vulnerable and defeating moments, I knew he didn't need me, he needed him. Doug Schwab

#zhanglinghe for pei wenxuan and how they treat him. • he filmed the 🌧 confession scene during winter. he need to endure the cold & his rhinitis. moreover he catch a cold back then and still remember to remind walnutz to pay attention to their health. he was also seen to pat his chest during break (bcs of his rhinitis). • he insist to drown himself to the dirty lake to make the scene more realistic. many people on set advice him to not get into the water as it's really dirty. but he doesn't mind and even okay to take it over and over again to present the best. • filming the ☔️ scene during the day and went to another event at night, resulting his waist pain relapse. when the bts being released, the drama didn't even credit him for being under the rain too. • producer compliments others on her wrap up post. others had few good words while she only refer zlh as "warm hehe". • he made time to join the promotional event despite his thight schedule. he cooperates really well in both activities. being cheerful all day when he must've been tired of catching planes and have to work right away after landed. yet, following these events, he got attacked by his colleague's previous cp fans when all he did was promoting his work which is part of his job. • filming drama during the day, while at night he would visit the supertopic to interact with fans and talk about the drama. • no bgm? no problem. his team made it as an activities for content creators to edit pwx scene with bgm. • during filming, zhang linghe often treats The Princess Royal team with foods, drinks, even vitamins. • drama crew shared hot topics but it's not a good one as its joking on zlh and pwx. they also spread fake screentime. they give all the highlights to sml when it should be pwx's. a weibo account (suspected as the producer's 2nd account) criticize pwx & walnutz while on the other hand complimented & liked many posts about the producer & sml. • zlh and walnutz contribute a lot for the drama's popularity. the brand endorsed by zlh put an ads on it. walnutz book more than 300K rmb of cloud reservation (membership card that can be shared to others to watch the drama). it's a big amount but some people only see us being noisy about how they treat pwx. "feelings shouldn't be trampled on like this" - pwx they tried to bring zhang linghe and pei wenxuan down. but his hardwork and sincerity for pei wenxuan beat them all. even if they tired to ruin it for him, pei wenxuan has become one of his most well received character. it's all because of his talent, also his well understanding & great portrayal of pei wenxuan😉

You’re playing away games round the country, spending three days or more away from home when you have continental away games. The fact that Tony Gilroy even got to write a Vader line feels really special to me and you can tell Tony took it seriously. Tony isn’t a Star Wars fan but he’s a REVERED professional writer and part of that comes from giving audiences incredible moments. Every moment of this scene is absolutely cool as fuck and even people who don’t like Star Wars are going to feel hype about it because it’s also HILARIOUS. Darth Vader is a drama queen. If you really want to get technical about the lore, Anakin stopped emotionally developing at age 22 and it makes Darth Vader hilarious. Every moment of this is what a 22 year old would do if a girl broke his heart. It’s exactly what a badass villain should be — spooky is the most important (which is why there’s SO MUCH spooky imagery and not as much dialogue) but he’s also smart and sometimes even charming. He’s the perfect villain and he needs to be treated with the proper gravitas. Actually — he needs to be treated with MORE gravitas because he’s also a supervillain icon and a true blueprint. As much gravitas as you think he needs, Gilroy gives him just a LITTLE more. Because he’s Darth fucking Vader, baby. This scene alone can make almost anyone enjoy Rogue One because it’s fucking hilarious. Tony Gilroy killed it. 10/10 my second favorite Star Wars moment ever. Incredible respect for an iconic villain.

This one is crazy. If ever there was a case that you could point to as police brutality, this one is it. It’s early morning in Paulding County, Georgia. 29-year-old Tyler Canaris is doing what millions of us do every day—he’s waiting for his ride to work. Tyler is a landscaper, minding his own business, when Deputy Michael McMaster pulls up. In the blink of an eye Tyler Canaris was body-slammed so hard by Paulding County Deputy Michael McMaster that his skull fractured. Tyler was an innocent man waiting for his ride to work. He didn't have a weapon. He wasn't committing a crime. After the slam you can hear Tyler is in pain. Instead of offering help, McMaster mocked him and told him to shut up and act like a man. One of the most disturbing parts of this case is how long it took for consequences to arrive. For nearly a year, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office did nothing. McMaster remained on the force, and Tyler was the one facing criminal charges for "obstruction." ​It wasn't until the GBI stepped in—that McMaster was finally fired. But even then, the department claimed he was fired for "policy violations" unrelated to the GBI’s use-of-force investigation. No Charges to this day, Michael McMaster has not been criminally charged for the injuries he inflicted on Tyler. Despite a GBI investigation, no indictment has been handed down. While Tyler lives with metal plates in his body and $75,000 in debt, the man who put him there remains a free man. Tyler filed a federal civil rights lawsuit (Section 1983) seeking accountability. However, the path to justice hit a major wall: ​Parts of the case faced significant hurdles in District Court, as his case was dismissed by the district court with prejudice. ​ In early 2026, the case moved to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Tyler’s legal team is fighting to overturn rulings that have stalled his pursuit of damages. Drawing similarities from 1992, his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II own "Annus Horribilis"; as there were multiple marriage breakdowns within the family and a major fire at Windsor🔥 Now 32 years later, Interestingly set in the backdrop of Windsor as well, Prince William faced his own Sombre Year full of turmoil and Health crisis for both his wife and father.
