AJAY DEVGN said this during the promotion of #DrishyamTheConclusion “Sequels don’t work, characters do.” If the audience loves a character, they’ll come back for that character no matter how big the sequel is. From Singham and Golmaal to Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam, #AjayDevgn has seen it himself. And I...

Kit Connor on how he approached Nick’s emotional arc in #HeartstopperForever: “We’ve seen this character in the first 3 seasons be a ray of sunshine and the answer to a lot of problems. For the audience to see the character go up against these kind of issues, would do a lot of the work for me”

Breaking the fourth wall is one of my favorite devices in Cinema. It occurs when a fictional character acknowledges the audience, the camera, or their own existence within a story. The character literally breaks through & reaches the audience. When I think of breaking the fourth wall, I think of Goodfellas. How can you not? That said, I would love to hear your favorite examples of the fourth wall being broken in Cinema.

#Bhansali Sahab, Please make a standalone film on #KarimLala with Ajay Devgn #AjayDevgn is born to play powerful underworld characters with perfection. No one carries the Weight, Depth and Soul of an underworld character like him. This Combo Would Be Pure Fire 🔥

Is #MrunalThakur Hinting her Character in #Raaka? I want to do the opposite and shock the audience. Somebody who’s got like personality disorder or a complex character. There’s a lot of scope for performance.

I get chills and tears every time rewatching this part. Ashley had to risk it all to get to where she is today with her Charlotte character. You can hate the character, but not the person behind it. She has feelings too that are not made out of steel. That’s why I am so ashamed to those who think that it’s okay to hate a person and bring personal issues to an audience that do nothing but try to dehumanise and exploit for the benefit of their hatred to the character.

One of the best climax scenes ever! 🔥 Drishyam 2 is a film whose suspense still has no answer. Ajay Devgn absolutely nailed this moment the kind of climax that stays in your head long after the film ends. 🥶 And tomorrow, Drishyam: The Conclusion is set to take a record opening the audience is going crazy to watch it!

Watched Tron Legacy for the millionth time and realized this is what the Star Wars sequel should have been like and how Luke should have been treat. It should have been a father son story. Jeff Bridges is how you do a powerful character who has given up fighting and rediscovers the drive through his son and makes the ultimate sacrifice for the future generation. And it does it without coming across spiteful or pointless. Whilst maintaining his presence in the world even when he's not there. He's even allowed to make the final sacrifice to save the world without taking anything away from the new characters. "You did all this, for him! why!?" "He's my son" What you can do when you write legacy characters without spite, subversion or a mystery box mindset.

Best I can do is let the timelapse speak for itself. It gives you a good idea of how I come up with quick character designs.

Asmongold explains why race swapping minor characters is even worse than swapping leads "Whenever you have random third and second tier characters, why would you make that character a social message? Why would you do that whenever you don't really need to?" "The biggest argument you can make for a race swap or gender swap is that the person playing that character is that good of an actor that it makes that big of a difference. But whenever it's a third tier character, Helen of Troy is not even involved in the Odyssey, there's no justification you can come up with for why that's a good idea." "All they did was alienate people for no reason."

We can’t imagine anybody else giving justice to lord Ram’s character other than #RanbirKapoor : Namit Malhotra - He has invested every aspect of Himself to the test of #Ramayana, Making sure he lives and breathe the character. - There is no one who can truly be lord Ram, He is one of a Kind and Ultimately it’s the audience to decide.

When setting up a shot in Runway, think carefully about where to put the camera. Consider what the camera placement tells the audience about the story, about the character, and about the moment. Every angle is a decision that affects how the audience will experience it.

There was a level of respect I just had to give for the "Amotekun Leader" character that I played in Ijogbon. Studying the character and bringing him to life had to be grounded in the mannerisms of real life Amotekun, and I am really grateful to the Amotekun for giving me the audience and time needed to have a peek into their world. The level of attention to character relatability for all characters in this amazing movie, Ijogbon, will leave you speechless! Kunleafolayan , you made magic, brother! Subscribe to Netflix and see for yourself! #Ijogbon #AmotekunLeader #KunleAfolayan

.Kevin Robert Kesar discusses the freedom that comes with having complete control over his career: "I was never interested in being seen by the world without being able to show my best hand... If they're telling you that you can't do this and you can't do that, and there's just this very small window of stuff that you know is really not going to land with the audience, that never really did it for me." I would rather work in front of a smaller audience and give them my absolute best so they know this is the guy we think he is... When the handcuffs are off, this is what he can do."

Q: What was the first Dickens character that stuck in your head as a child? A: Oh Fagin, without question. Jewish and vile . I didn't know Jews like that then, sadly I do now. Really, BBC Front Row? This is plain and ugly racism, from a woman who’s given a pass because apparently she is a "national treasure". The fact Margolyes is herself Jewish is not the get out of jail free card you think it is.

The most dangerous GPT-6 Astra demo I’ve seen has nothing to do with code. I typed “make me a woman” and it gave me an actual character inside Blender. Not a render. Not a concept image. A full 3D asset with a body, face, hair, materials and proportions you can rotate, inspect and keep editing. That is where this stops feeling like another cute AI trick. Character modeling is exactly the kind of work where bad anatomy, dead eyes, plastic skin and ugly hair expose every shortcut immediately. And Astra is already getting close enough that “AI can’t do real 3D character work” is starting to sound like a sentence with a very short shelf life.

Ben Horowitz says instead of banning AI, educators should set problems students can't solve without it: "I was talking to Dan Boneh, who is a great professor of computer science and cryptography at Stanford. His take on AI was: You have two choices. You can ban it, and by the way, that won't work. Or you can make the problems so hard that you can't solve them without AI." "What he's seeing is, 'I've got students solving things that no student in history could have ever solved.' That's what's possible. You want to have that orientation: What can you solve with the tools? What can you do that's a breakthrough? Now everybody has an opportunity to create a breakthrough." "Then you're a main character, not an NPC. That's what the academy is about. Do you want to be a main character? If you want to be a main character, we help you do that. If you want to be a cog in a machine, this is not going to be the best place for you." benahorowitz.eth
