🚨 Akademiks says “THANK YOU” to Kendrick Lamar for HELPING Drake bounce back after the battle by not keeping his foot on the gas Ak says Kendrick not dropping music and staying active gave Drake room to regain momentum. “After the battle, Kendrick needed to keep his foot on the gas to make it a tough time for Drake in the future. He didn’t.” Ak says “heavy is the head if you’re gonna wear the crown,” arguing Kendrick doesn’t release frequently enough to keep control of the conversation. He says the result makes Drake look “TEFLON” even to people who believe he lost the battle: “As soon as Drake drops the some shit, people love Drake again.”

🚨 Wack 100 says The Game would’ve tried to squash Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s issues if Kendrick had approached him about Drake. Wack breaks down what was really going on behind the scenes when Game brought Drake to Compton for the “100” video, claiming they had no idea Kendrick viewed it as a serious issue. He says if Kendrick had called Game about it, Game would’ve gotten Drake on the phone and tried to fix the situation. Ak pushes back throughout the conversation, arguing Kendrick wasn’t looking to fix anything in the first place.

🚨 Akademiks says 60% of hip-hop fans are Drake fans while 40% are Kendrick Lamar fans Ak argued the Drake vs. Kendrick battle has split hiphop into two sides, claiming most major artists share more of their fanbase with Drake than Kendrick. He compared Kendrick fans to Nicki Minaj’s Barbz, saying they only support Kendrick, just like the Barbz only truly support Nicki rather than artists who side with her. Ak says that’s why fans are now “voting with their streams” and believes artists caught in the middle are feeling the effects.

🚨 Akademiks Calls Out Joe Budden for saying The Game vs. Kendrick has “far deeper implications” and questions why that same concern wasn’t there when Drake battled Kendrick Ak points to the fallout from Drake/Kendrick, including relationships being divided and ScHoolboy Q’s Toronto show getting cancelled, asking why that battle was treated like “just rap,” while Game/Kendrick is viewed as something that could get too serious to encourage. “Y’all want Drake to battle everybody… but y’all don’t want to encourage the fight with these two because it will get too serious?” Ak says that logic basically tells him people see Drake as someone where nothing real is expected to come from a battle beyond rap, ending with: “So you’re basically just telling me you just think Drake’s a pussy ass soft ass nigga.”

🚨 Akademiks says Kendrick Lamar became the biggest artist on the West Coast then stopped helping the coast once he got there. Ak calls Kendrick a “selfish artist,” arguing that West Coast artists showed up for The Pop Out and the “Not Like Us” video when Kendrick needed the region behind him, but says Kendrick hasn’t returned that same support now that many of those artists are struggling commercially. Ak contrasts it with Drake continuing to collaborate with and publicly support other artists, before saying the West Coast is now “dead” outside of Kendrick.

🚨 Akademiks: “The reality is, no matter if Kendrick in your mind won that battle, the true winner is always Drake.” Ak says if Drake really lost and that was the end of it, hip-hop would’ve moved on to who the winner faces next instead, everyone remains obsessed with who Drake battles next. He also calls out the contradiction of people labeling Drake “pop” and “not hip-hop,” while expecting him to carry battle culture: “Drake has to hold the whole battling culture down by himself.”

🚨 Akademiks & What’s The Dirt say Kendrick Lamar should be doing MORE to help the next generation of lyrical rappers and question why getting a Kendrick feature feels nearly impossible They use Cordae as the example, with Ak saying: “Kendrick wouldn’t even give this guy a verse to save his life.” WTD says if Kendrick really wants to lead that lane, this is exactly when he should be supporting artists coming up behind him. Ak compares it to media, saying when he realized YouTube/streaming was becoming the new lane, he started supporting other creators because “you have to support the lane that you’re in.” They also say Kendrick’s next move will be watched much more critically, and both expect him to address Drake again but WTD says Drake should avoid another full battle entirely. Ak says he’s told Drake the same thing, but after talking to him: “The pen isn’t dry.”

🚨Akademiks gives a BLUEPRINT on how to beat Kendrick Lamar in a battle to Drake, J Cole and anybody that wants to get it in with him. Battling Kendrick isn’t about bars, it’s about how far you’re willing to go. Kendrick has no limits, no moral line, no pause button. While Drake was busy explaining why he wasn’t what Kendrick accused him of, Kendrick never explained anything he just kept disrespecting. Ak recalls the whole battle. 😂💀
