That’s something we’re really, really concerned about—that the Department of Justice has essentially said we cannot use metaphors, we cannot use figures of speech, we cannot talk about actually fighting the policies of the Trump Administration. And if we do, we’re going to face prosecution. It’s incredibly disturbing. But we’re not going to be silenced. We’ve got to push back.

Let us look back and remember who we are, and how our greatest leaders—like Abraham Lincoln—comported themselves in the face of civil war. We must realign ourselves with the founding spirit of our nation. Are we ready to reach across the divide? I am, and that is what my campaign is about.
