Here, I completely disagree with this reductionist perspective of Mr Mbeki on geopolitics and the conduct of states. In this interview, he narrowly and in a very myopic way imagines a battle ring with SA and US as fighters to the dead end. The inherent dynamics in contemporary geopolitics are more complex than this simplistic articulation. SA is not interested in a fight with the US but is unapologetically in the fold of global anti-imperialist efforts that find expression in different platforms like BRICS+ to marginalise the imperialist agenda. The belly of imperialism is the US. The global anti-imperialist efforts are gaining significant momentum that threatens the post WWII configuration and spread of global balance of power, which was later punctuated by the collapse of the USSR. The beginning of the 21st century marked the incremental and gradual decline of the US's global influence. Hence, the nervousness that gave birth to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN (MAGA) policy. MAGA is an attempt to crudely and erratically reassert the US as an unrival global hegemon. With how contemporary global politics are shaped, this agenda is doomed, and it will definitely fail. The US and its fragmented West allies are the axis of imperialism, and the geopraphic location of the anti-imperialist agenda is mainly in the South. The South is not South Africa, but countries located in the Southern Hemisphere. Closely monitoring the development and the relentless anti-imperialist efforts in the South, on all fronts - economics, politics, technology , and diplomacy it is quite apparent that the US is confronted with a strategic dilemma and challenge unlike the bipolar period. Yesterday, within the walls of Al-Awda Hospital, a woman arrived who had tragically lost her life after a shell targeted her home. To our shock, we discovered she was nine months pregnant. Overwhelmed with both sorrow and hope, we decided, with simple means and basic equipment, to perform a cesarean section to save the baby. Miraculously, we managed to bring the child into the world, healthy and strong. But our joy was incomplete; his mother had died before he could know her, before he could feel her love and warmth. This madness must end. It is a tragedy that should stir our humanity and make us realize the enormity of what we are enduring. She is name Ola al kourd 😢

Not to throw shade on the US government, but they have been rejecting science, stalling clean energy advancements, and even planning to drill for fossil fuel in national parks, risking irreparable damage to our climate. One way to fight back is to support companies that move us in the right direction. On The Road With Al & Ivy Blog entry for June 3, 2016: First book trailer for the On The Road With Al & Ivy novel "On The Road With Al & Ivy—Book 1: Becoming A Face" will be released in about two weeks. As I said earlier, I was working on this book and "The Quitturz," and this one was the first to be completed. I decided a while back to do this as a novel for various reasons, mainly because it's complicated to write a book based on real life with actual people. Anyone who's read this blog for years knows that this novella, which runs about 45,000 words, will be based on my experiences. The novel format allows me to include a lot of material based on other people's observations and comments, which will make the novel more richly detailed. The format allows me to fictionalize people so that every character resembles no one in real life. The main reason is to protect sources and to take advantage of fiction's flexibility, which allows me to use my imagination. I think that with any work based on real-life experiences, it's essential to be fair to the characters. One of the things I specifically avoided was not to create one-dimensional saints and sinners, so to speak, so that every character can be seen as a human being with both virtues and flaws. Doing this as a fictional trilogy also allows me to draw on my interest in past literature and do this as a work. I didn't want to do a documentary-style book. Plenty of those are already available for this book's subject matter. The title refers to a phrase that will be occasionally used in the book. It doesn't have one particular meaning. It starts off meaning one thing, but as the story progresses, you'll find that it's a much more complex concept. Another aspect is the story's structure. The original drafts were in the first person, but I found that once I shifted to a novel format, I could weave a more complex tapestry that included other first-person accounts and third-person narratives. I admit that my writing will probably get mixed reviews, as some readers will always criticize that kind of structure, but after 8 years and a lot of thought, it's simply the best way to present the story. A deep feeling of shared purpose and camaraderie. Only one year old, dd is taking form and strengthening quickly. 🧵 dd attracts exceptional people: high-agency, ambitious, disciplined, smart, and resourceful. They know the future of being human is centered on vibrancy and youthfulness. They clearly see die culture is foolish - a relic of the past. This was our third summit, the first was in SF and second in Singapore. We've learned fast. LA was 10x improved over SF (my SF and Singapore friends, we must get together again asap). Yesterday we focused our attention on building life systems and habits. At the base layer, none of us really have a knowledge problem. We generally know what is healthy and what isn't. The challenge is doing the things we know are good for us and not doing the things that we know are bad for us. The most powerful force in each of us achieving youthful vibrance is when we are surround by others in optimal health. When our daily lives, systems and habits make health the norm, unhealthy things feel weird and appear revolting. dd is not waiting for someone to come save us. We are building our our own food supply chain; a dd food certification system to eliminate toxics from the global food supply; a dd evidence based validation system for therapies and health services; and a community whose values are aligned with this epic moment of evolving into something new and spectacular. dd has an insane amount of energy around it. It is the answer to what the human race focuses on as it gives birth to artificial super intelligence. dd will become the world's most influential ideology.
