Al Quds Day has become an annual platform for antisemitic hate and extremist rhetoric. In today’s climate, this raises serious public safety concerns. I call on the City to take the necessary steps - up to and including an injunction - to cancel the demonstration.

Too many people still don’t understand how IRGC operates or how it has built networks even here in Canada. Iranians have been warning about this for many years, but too often those warnings were ignored.

@RuthwithSnow Brad. Put a motion forward. You ARE the city. Pull permits. Stop the march for next year. Do something with policy, not just empty statements. Show me your motion to “take necessary steps”. You are a city councillor. You can put something forward. Do it.

@McLeanChronicle Ford lied

@teririch Antisemitism is nothing more than noticing and critiquing overwhelmingly Jewish behaviour.

Celebrate gang rape day instead!

Many of us Iranian Canadians feel the same. An event rooted in the ideology of the Islamic Republic and known for antisemitic rhetoric has no place in a country that prides itself on tolerance and human rights. #KingRezaPahlavi

Don't listen to this Zionist bastard and stand for the Palestinian people by joining the rally

So protesting against rape and mass slaughter of people and their children has become antisemitism? Hate and extreme? Geez. We don’t answer to Israel.

@AKAfeng37 FYI be advised @SecWar @SecRubio open terrorist parades in Toronto, Canada in the same general area where the USA consulate was attacked and an attempt by a local to stop it ongoing. @PressSec

Cancelling this annual hatefest is long overdue. Thank you for adding your voice to this.

Thank you Brad, It would seem that you are the only one on city council with the balls to tell the truth.

I HOPE YOU WIN THE MAYORAL RACE. TORONTO NEEDS YOU. @Roman_Baber @PasternakTO

A man in an #IRGC uniform walks freely in Canada, threatening people, while police do nothing. Their gatherings aren’t even canceled—they’re allowed. Soon Canadians, like Iranians, may be asking @POTUS for help.

Finally!! Someone stepping up. Thank you @BradMBradford You can teach @fordnation and the idiot @MayorOliviaChow a few things on being a strong leader.

Palestinians and their supporters have the right to celebrate the capital city of Palestine. It is you who associate it with violence, it is your racism against the indigenous people of Palestine that makes you say this.

This is anti-Palestinian racism. Criticism of Israel is not anti-semitism. We have Charter protected rights to protest against genocide and apartheid, and for human rights and liberation. Your racist incitement is the act of hate.

Shut up, evil genocidal Zionist Nazi. You should be expelled from the City Council as you are a traitor and an Israel-First thug.

Canceling it is not enough. I would say denounce it completely.

@OneHopelessHope

Good day to test out some water cannons @BradMBradford Seriously - Police should just enforce the Highway Traffic Act and arrest any and all that are blocking a road. If you do this over and over it will stop.

@NorthBelle4

Canada is no place for hate and radicalism. Quds Day was created by the Islamic regime, a regime that massacres its own people and cuts millions of Iranians off from the internet for weeks to silence them. #DigitalBlackOutIran

Were not falling for it anymore dick head try again ... God bless Palestine

How can these extremists hold events mourning the death of a terrorist dictator in Toronto? Where is the law now? Instead of condemning US and Israel, start looking inside your borders and see how IRGC is infesting Canada.

@VeronicaTalbot9 Given the situation in Michigan and Norway it is clear this happening out there. As if it wasn’t enough that this STUPID government is allowing Al-Quds after the 🇺🇸 consulate was shot at. Unreal. Is this intentional? the @liberal_party @fordnation @MayorOliviaChow @TPSMyronDemkiw

Thank you for your moral clarity and for speaking out and calling it what it is

@teririch Thank you for standing up against terrorist rhetoric. Iranian Canadians have suffered from this for too long. The last thing we want is for it to arrive in Canada and take a hold. #FreeIran

white man engages in white solidarity and upholds white supremacy inciting white violence.

This is what a leader does. Foresight and action. Thank you 🙏🏻

It shouldn't be so difficult to persuade @oliviachow and @TPSMyronDemkiw that this annual event is a springboard for t*rrorism against the Toronto Jewish community, yet time and again they sit back and ruminate while these antisemitic spurs to violence take place.

YES!!! Or just let Canadians deal with it, without consequences. No need for police, they deal with enough shit. We're strong and proud. Stop holding us back from protecting our families. Ford, Chow, Carney, aren't doing anything. LET US LOOSE. You'll have my Canadian vote

Thank you Brad for doing what no other politician is brave enough to do.

You just got my vote for mayor. Thank you!
