As the Connecticut Huskies attempt to win another national championship tonight against Michigan, Alabama Men’s Basketball fans still hear the echos of two years ago when the Crimson Tide finally crashed college basketball’s biggest event for the first time on April 6, 2024. Inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., the Crimson Tide’s breakthrough season reached its crescendo in its first Final Four appearance against the Huskies. As a No. 4 seed coming out of the West Region, the magical run ended with an 86-72 loss, but not before the Crimson Tide proved it belonged on the grandest stage. Mark Sears led the way with 24 points, five rebounds and three assists, continuing his March brilliance. Grant Nelson delivered a monster effort with 19 points and a season-best 15 rebounds for a double-double, while Aaron Estrada added 13 points as Alabama fought to keep within striking distance deep into the second half. Stephon Castle scored 21 points, Donovan Clingan had 18 and Tristen Newton controlled the game with 12 points and nine assists. What the younger Bama fans don’t understand is that Alabama for many years before Nick Saban wasn’t always “Crimson” and glory. We lived through the worst of times after the best of times so we get what it’s like to start over and put our faith in “The Process.” That being said, I have a GREAT feeling about our new coach and if you haven’t done your research….not just stats, go now and you will see how loved this man has been by everyone. THAT and the fact that Coach Saban gave his approval and quite a progress recommendation for Kalen DeBoer, is all I need to know! When we play it live it’s had the best reaction I’ve ever had and it’s been requested almost daily since we first played it. It’s also the longest title ever! . I wrote it with a female co-harmony in mind and after a chance meeting at Isle of Wight Festival the amazing Swim School agreed to collaborate. Can I just say that Alice is one of the most creative, innovative performers I have ever met. We ended up with layer upon layer of her incredible vocals that completely dominate the song and take it to another level. What a band man. . . I can’t wait for you to hear it but you’ll need to wait until 30/8.

For all the people who are eager to dick ride Snyder - it’s CLEAR that he was injured and stopped wrestling BEFORE being on his back. Sadulaev is the best ever, why the hell would he just stop wrestling on his back if he’s about to get taken down? His knee popped even before Snyder had a takedown and he completely stopped wrestling. Anyone who thinks this was a legit pin or that Snyder’s celebration wasn’t classless - you’re also a clown and I can’t associate with you.
