Alan Watts makes an interesting point here. If my mind is talking to me, then who’s talking and who’s listening? we usually don’t even notice how easily we confuse that inner voice with who we are. I messed up. I’m always like this. the goal isn’t to stop thinking....

Oh Thank goodness! I thought I was alone with my mental chatter.

not at all.. most people are living with a constant narrator in their head. The turning point is simply realizing that hearing the noise doesn't mean you have to believe it or attach to it.

@EarthandLore How do u cope or fix the chatter where it’s not a burden?

@Liminal1988 Playing musical instruments or venturing into nature. Nature resets my brain and nervous system and music does the same by building oxytocin levels.

So hilarious. When I was 21 or so, went to an office with a friend to apply for an internship/assignment... had to wait a significant amount of time ... my friend told me how he had so much inner voice and asked me what I was thinking. I said "nothing" for the past 1 hour.

such a classic dynamic. It really highlights how some people constantly identify with an ongoing stream of thoughts, while others naturally stay in the observer seat without needing narration

Even though this is ai it doesn’t mean it’s not correct. Alan Watts voice is southing and resonates wisdom and knowledge, which he did have. But the irony of this video is this is near exactly what Alan eventually succumbed to himself and died from alcoholism in order to numb that constant voice in his head

You are a pattern of energy flow facing increasing entropy, the flow stops the life ends, the atoms dissipate to form some other molecules, the mind is just part of the energy flow in energy fields across the cosmos. You are very transient and insignificant by the way

MORE OF THIS, PLEASE: Important comments from CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss to colleague Vladimir Duthiers about having conversations with those we disagree with, even if you may think someone is controversial and wrong... CBS’s Vladimir Duthiers: “So, Bari, when I introduced you to the audience, you said something incredibly powerful. We have to get to a place in this country where we can have discussions with people we vehemently disagree with. Charlie Kirk was controversial in his life. Some of his critics called his organization racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic. Which you asked Erika about and I want to play a little bit of that for our viewers.” [Town Hall clip] Duthiers: “So, Bari, what do you say to those who argue it’s harmful to platform a guy like Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA and even his widow, even though she’s grieving some critics have addressed that with you?” Bari Weiss: “Yeah, I mean I just fundamentally disagree with the idea that we shouldn’t be able to speak across divides. That doesn’t mean that there are not lines. The question, of course, is whether or not Charlie Kirk crossed those lines and in my view, you hear me quote many of the controversial things he said — needless to say, there are many things Charlie Kirk said in his life that I vehemently disagree with, but, to me, that’s not the point. The point is that we are walking into an abyss as a country if we accept the idea that words are violence, but violence, if directed at the right targets, is acceptable. I fundamentally reject that world view. The entire point of our democracy, the whole premise of it as we’re entering our 250th year is that we solve our problems by persuasion. We solve our problems by talking to one another. We don’t solve our problems by shooting one another in the neck as happened that day at that Utah college and so, to me ,especially as we’re living in a world where you can live next door to someone and if you have different things on your social media feed, you can live in a different reality, and so, the point of this conversation, even if it makes some people uncomfortable, even if they disagree with something they heard on stage, I disagreed with some I heard on stage. The point, that’s the whole nature of the democratic process and this conversation and this whole series that we’re going to be announcing in the coming days, the point is to revive that in a moment this country needs it. More thank ever.”

Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. I'm going to understand that life is not about falling down. It's about how I'm going to get up. I'm going to fall 1,000 times so I can get up 1,001 times. And in that last time when I get up and I'm actually ready to go to my next level, I'm going to wish for you, for me, and for everybody who are listening — please, may we have the courage to go to our next level because we know that the promised land is waiting right after it. And may we not be afraid when the whole world is saying this or that about us. Who cares? It's about what you think, what your wife thinks, what your kids think, and what the universe thinks. Rick: Amen. Adam: Amen. Thank you. Thank you, Hashem. Thank you.

CLARKE: Ukraine has to prevail, and West backing Ukraine, they’re fighting our war, we have to prevail. We’ve got to grasp the nettle, we’re going to do this predominantly without United States, not entirely. We have to make this our first foreign-policy objective. For me, it's first priority. There's lots of others. This one is our neighbourhood, our future, future for our children and grandchildren we’re talking about. We've passed the point of no return. There's no way back for Putin, and there's no way back for us. If we don’t prevail, then we live under Russian blackmail. So we have to prevail. There’s no other option. The argument about who’s right and who’s wrong is now overtaken by who will prevail. Here's example. Russians have a view, historically ridiculous, but they have a narrative, which gets picked up by others. Like by AfD in Germany, and also by a lot of people in UK who say, “Oh, Russians have got a point.” Look at the historical facts, it’s not true. However, we can argue about that till the cows come home. Like in World War II. The argument who’s right and who’s wrong gets overtaken by who’s going to win. That’s the argument. Once it’s clear who’s going to win, and in this case, we mean who will prevail. Can we help Ukraine stay independent and live in the future as a Western democratic country? That’s what prevailing means. If we can do that, then you’d be amazed how fast everybody lines up behind them.

🛑 Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 - Captain with school boys and girls! The young Captain was having a conversation with the pupils, and here is what he saying, “I was telling you a while ago, in school they were telling us that we couldn’t do it here. They lied to us. We grow wheat here, and it works well, and we will develop it. Some people have started, this year, I was able to see people who did it, as part of the presidential initiative, and I was told that in the past, some were able to do it and they produced it well. Currently, we are sowing wheat in some farmlands as part do the presidential initiative. What you eat must be produced here. So, this is why I say that we will teach you many things, and we will review the curricula they teach you. For those who drink coffee, they told us that your coffee, chocolate, it is only in the countries with abundant rainfalls, that here is only savanna, desert, it does not rain, we cannot farm. Again, they lied to us. It’s not true! Coffee grows well here, cocoa grows well too. There are people here who have the farms here, even in Ouagadougou here, there are people who have cocoa trees in their yards. This means that, chocolate that children envy those from well to do familes can be manufactured here in Burkina and all the children can eat chocolate in Burkina. We found out it is possible. As for milk, why do we have to import it? We can do it. I just want to tell you that there are many things that they never told us the truth about. You guys are lucky, we are now teaching you, and we promise you that we will do all we can so that you can eat your fill. As we say, you will eat well in the morning before you go to school, you will go to school for free, you will eat lunch, you will have fun, and in the afternoon, when you return home, you will have fun in the neighborhood, then in the evening, you will learn and review your homework and sleep. This is the dream we have. As long as the children in Burkina are not in these conditions, our fight will not stop. Ok? (Claps). So, we know these are your aspirations and it is right and legal. Any parent is fighting for this. Even those who do not have children fight in the hope of having children and to take care of them, so that they can live in better conditions, and be better than them. This is the fight of everyone, this is the fight of every generation. We are lucky God gave us everything. Do you know that everywhere in Burkina we can farm? Everywhere! In the Sahel where they tell you it is the desert, it is only sand, we can farm. As for us, we have been lied to so much, it is the brainwashing of the colonizer. He did that so that we may not think 💭. But we finally found out that everything was a lie ( damn lie, emphasis is mine). If God left many lakes in that desert, He knows why. We can farm everything in Burkina, we can do everything, the land is fertile. And there are so many natural things in Burkina that we never planted but they were here, isn’t it ? Have you ever learned how to plant a shea tree in Burkina? You were born and found them already here right? It is there in the wild in nature. You know it is a gift from God. There are many things in the shea fruit. You have the shea butter, that is oil; do you know that there is chocolate in it? There are seven derivatives in the shea fruit. You also have the Parkia biglobosa (also known as the African locust bean) which is a natural fruit. We have many things, it is not only the minerals in the soil. Even with the soil, we were told that it’s ferralitic soil, that it is not fertile, everything is a lie. You see that today there is so much gold in Burkina. But it is just poorly managed. Our mission is to well manage these resources, and to take good care of you, so that you can be in your basic rights, to lead a good life, to go to school, and that we may protect you. And also that you may fulfill your duties, because your duties are very important, aren’t they?…

Dearest Vivian, We miss you so much. A year has passed since that terrible day when we lost you and so many other wonderful people. On that day, the foundations of everything we relied on were shaken – trust was shaken, security was shaken. We are in a terrible crisis. Like all of Israel, we initially found ourselves confused and at a loss, asking ourselves: Where did we go wrong? As time passed and the war continued, the realization sank in that we weren't the ones who erred. Those who didn't listen to our cries were wrong! And it's clear to us now, more than ever, that we have no choice but to continue. We were strengthened tremendously by your family, who continues in your path despite the terrible tragedy – and in many ways, because of it. They, like us, cannot know what you would be thinking had you survived the horrific massacre, but knowing you, we believe you would not have despaired or given up. You would have continued to work tirelessly for a diplomatic agreement and a better future for Israel and the region's residents, so that we can raise our children and future generations here in peace, security, equality, and freedom. And that's what we did – we thought things over, rolled up our sleeves, and we're continuing tirelessly, on our path – your path, for us and also for you. A year has passed; we're still in the midst of a cursed war with no end in sight, and sometimes we feel like we're fighting windmills, but we're not giving up. You would surely be thrilled, along with us, if you could see the international recognition we've received in recent weeks, together with our Palestinian sisters from Women of the Sun. Believe it or not, we have even been nominated together for the Nobel Peace Prize. Dearest Vivian, we hope that in another year we’ll be able to update you that we've succeeded, that they're finally listening to us, and not just overseas, and that what we believe in is happening – women are bringing peace. We promise to dedicate the Nobel Prize we receive to you. May your memory be peace, dear friend. We miss you so much. #VivianSilver Yonatan Zeigen
