Albert Belle was a monster- great memories here

Albert Belle turns 60 today! *5x All Star *5x Silver Slugger *3x AL RBI Leader *Indians Hall of Fame *Robbed of the 1995 MVP *KO’d Fernando Viña

Packed stadium. Raucous crowd. Jon Miller on the call for national TV. AB hitting bombs with Chief Wahoo on the helmet. Peak CLE baseball memories!

Smartest hitter, most prepared hitter I’ve heard of. Heard he kept notebooks on opposing pitchers. Oh and he didn’t like thermostats too much.

I miss this team so much.

I was right behind home plate - never ever heard the Jake louder than at that moment

I mean LOOK at those effin numbers with the bases loaded. My god!

I'm not sure I have seen anybody hit a ball as hard as AB. Wonder what his exit velocity was on average for his home runs.

Davey Johnson had the look of a man who knew exactly what was coming and couldn't do a thing about it. Fastball middle up and Albert said, "Don't mind if I do." 😁⚾️ Greatest game there is.

Davey knew what was coming

My all time favorite Indian! I was playing baseball in college during his heyday. One of the best 2 strike power hitters I’ve ever seen. Clutch! HBD Albert!

Lost the series.

I won a lot of money off of co-workers (in California) because of Albert Belle. Bottom of the 9th runners on (or not), Albert Belle up to bat. I'd bet them $20.00 that Belle would win the game for the Indians. It was a very good year!

His career with bases loaded are the things of baseball wet dreams today

Only one.

Can’t even imagine what Benitez was thinking in that moment. Must have been terrifying.

Tribe lost that playoff series to the Os. Belle's final year as a Cleveland Indian too. He was so good. I got to see him play against the Texas Rangers in Arlington back then when he was still an Indian. Good times. 🫡

The sound the hit makes, God damn man

God, the steroid era was just fun baseball
