Albert Pujols talking hitting and referencing what Tony Gwynn always preached: "swing the knob, not the barrel" People often forget that one of Albert Pujols’ idols was Tony Gwynn. During Pujols’ first All-Star Game — which also happened to be Gwynn’s last—Albert expressed his deep admiration and respect for...

One if the differences in the #gurus and the real hitting coaches is that the #gurus believe that they could play today because they can hit in a batting cage off a tee or pitching machine when in reality they couldn’t hit when they had their chance. Dunkin donuts employee k!lls an aggressive customer that was swearing and name calling in the store. A 77-year-old customer Vonelle Cook became agitated in the drive-thru lane after employees asked for clarification regarding his drink order. After staff refused service and asked him to move on and leave the property, Cook parked his vehicle and entered the lobby to confront the workers directly. Inside the store, 27-year-old shift manager Corey Pujols instructed a coworker to contact law enforcement and repeatedly ordered Cook to leave the premises. Instead, the confrontation worsened as Cook began directing severe, repeated verbal abuse and racial slurs at Pujols. After warning Cook to stop the abusive language, Pujols stepped out from behind the counter and struck Cook once. Cook fell backward l0sing c0nsciousness. When Tampa Police arrived, Pujols was calm, immediately identified himself as the person involved, and fully cooperated with officers, with store surveillance footage confirming the exact sequence of events. Cook was hospitalized with critical head injuries and passed away three days later. Background checks revealed that Cook had an extensive felony record. Pujols initially faced an aggravated manslaughter charge carrying up to 30 years in prison. However, prosecutors ultimately agreed to a reduced charge of felony battery, citing Pujols' clean record, the victim's extreme hostility, and the lack of intent to cause fatal harm. Pujols received a sentence of two years of house arrest, three years of probation, 200 hours of community service, and mandatory anger management courses. Taking everything into account, how do these results make you feel, justice served or soft sentence?

Asked Nuggets coach David Adelman about the season that Jaylen Brown has had, and he gushed about Brown as both a player and a person. "The the elite shooting from mid range is such a big deal in our game, it's the late-clock ability, his overall size, his ability to play in the middle of the floor, which is really hard to come double people and not give up the three point line to a team like they have, I would just say his continued evolution in his game. "He's an elite, All-Star player, two-way player. I just watched him grow over the years, not just the championship year, but with Jayson Tatum, obviously out, more responsibility falls into his hands, and I thought they did a great job building around him for this particular season, with all the shooting that surrounds him." "He's a problem. He's not fun to watch on tape when you have to play against him. I'm a fan of his, just as a pure basketball person, not just as a coach. Actually got to spend some time in Africa, he was such an impressive person. He's good for the NBA. He's going to be a probelm for us tonight." "There was an Africa game that I coach in, that he played in. They used to do that yearly in South Africa. It's an amazing event. He came down there for that. And some of the events that we had to do -- humanitarian stuff, you go out and you see these communities, and just to see his investment in it was really impressive. And he was at a much younger age then. And I remember him in the bubble, speaking up at meetings and things like that." "Some people are born to lead. He definitely stands out as one of those people."

Jalen on KAT: "The narrative was placed on him by the outside world. You never really know a person until obviously you meet them face to face and you see what he says and what his actions are. And being the teammate that he is and seeing his sacrifices and seeing what he's done his entire career puts him in a position to become a hall of famer. And honestly I wouldn't trade that for the world. And the things that he's done has been extraordinary and not really sure how he's going to respond to me saying all these nice things about him but he's one hell of a basketball player but he's honestly a better teammate"

In 1967, Tony Curtis felt unsatisfied with the recent movies he had starred in. He though his career was losing momentum & needed a new challenge. "The Boston Str@ngler" (1968) provided him the perfect opportunity. He had heard that the producer was looking at many actors to play the title role irrespective of the popularity. Richard Fleischer also wanted Tony Curtis to star in the movie. However, Darryl F. Zanuck didn't think Curtis was right for the part. He thought Curtis was too recognisable to play the character. One day, Curtis took some putty and built himself a big nose, changed his eyelashes, eyebrows and hair. He took photos of himself with his 35mm camera —profiles and front views — and had two dozen eight-by-tens printed up on grainy paper. He gave them to Richard Fleischer, who went to Zanuck's office, threw the pictures on the table, and said, “Here’s your strangler.” Zanuck said, “Yeah, that guy could be him. I like that look—who is it?” , Fleischer replied, “Tony!”. He was then cast in the picture. ("Tony Curtis: The Autobiography", Tony Curtis and Barry Paris, 1993) P.S: Remembering Tony Curtis on his 101st birthday!

Michael Carrick says Cristiano Ronaldo was actually a BETTER footballer before he became a goal scorer. "I think that first season was Cristiano at his best. I'm not disrespecting him at all because he's one of the greatest ever, but he was a more rounded player. He played his position, he did his job defensively, he was disciplined, responsible, and then he'd still go and score goals that won us games. He was unbelievable. Later in his career he scored even more goals, and we were all happy to do more work for him because he was winning matches. But that version of Cristiano, for me, was the complete footballer."

This Georgia Bulldogs batter, Tre Phelps, was ejected after he hit a go ahead home run against Liberty in the NCAA Regional Final game in Athens. Phelps homered and has he starts to run the bases, the home plate umpire felt that he was taunting the Liberty dugout and he continued to celebrate all the way around the bases. You can see some Liberty players ask him “what are you doing?” I guess the umpire had seen enough. Georgia Head Coach Wes Johnson was also thrown out for arguing Phelps’ ejection. Many people said he was waving to his family and said it didn’t matter, that he should be allowed to celebrate and that you can’t eject a player for that. Others said they were glad he was ejected and that there is no place in the game for this type of behavior- taunting the other team. If I was his coach I would have been livid at him for acting that way. Respect the game, respect the players and act like you have been there and just play the game. Quit the theatrics. What do you think? Do you think the umpire was justified in ejecting him or do you think he had a right to celebrate?

Two days prior to that I had told the manager that I had a problem with my hamstring and I thought that was the reason he was taking me out of the game ... it just got a little bit blown out of proportion." He went on to say he apologized to Tony Vitello after the game, "which was the right thing to do."

Mick Foley explains what drew him to AEW and why Tony Khan played a major role in that decision: "I have known Tony Khan for 15 years. I had a really good lunch with Tony before he got into wrestling. He's got that indomitable spirit, right? To see Tony backstage... [he's joyous]. He jumps up and asks people if they're okay. He's really happy. As a guy who always reacted better to a pat on the back than a kick in the butt, I would have really enjoyed that style. Mr. McMahon had his own style, and of course, when he put you over, it meant a lot. But he didn't jump up from his seat to meet the talent coming through."

Trent Grisham hitting a 105.7 MPH rocket off Logan Webb, one of the better pitchers in MLB. Honestly, good for him. Hopefully, he keeps playing well for the Yankees and continues what he did last year. That defense may not be what it was, but it’s hard to complain about an elite eye with 30 homer power.

A Dunkin Donuts manager, Corey Pujols, 27, was charged with felony battery after he punched a 77-year-old man in the jaw following a racial altercation in Tampa Fla. In addition to house arrest, a judge sentenced him to three years of probation, 200 hours of community service and ordered him to attend an anger management course. The customer, Vonelle Cook was unhappy with his service and resorted to calling Corey racial slurs. He hit his head in the fall and died 3 days later. This clip is the young man explaining what happened, very calmly when the officers arrived on the scene. Hard to imagine such a calm, well spoken person could do something like that.
