Albertans, face it: your vote doesn’t shape your future. Elections are decided in Ontario and Quebec, and by the time the results hit Manitoba’s border, it’s over. Policy flows from central Canada, not your polling station. Your kids’ future? You’ve got zero control unless something changes soon.

Correct. In ‘74 election when blackout of results was lifted in Alberta I watched in horror with my parents that Trudeau had a majority over Stanfield. Decided before one vote in Alberta. ☹️

Albertans do shape our own future but not as a partner in Canada. We’ll vote for secession.

I think Carney pissed off Quebec [and likely New Brunswick too] because of his lousy french, the NFLD fishermen ate not happy with him, and I live in Ontario and we are fed up with Liberals.[I always voted Conservative] It will be the Chinese community in T.O. that is an issue.

Well I'm seeing a lot of chatter here in Quebec about going for Poillievre which surprised me. I thought they'd go Bloc instead. I think the polls saying we are going for Carney are bullshit, maybe some English in Quebec (not myself) because they always have.

@TomMarazzo That is correct I work the last still federal election in a small rural town of Central Alberta. We weren’t even done counting our ballots and they called it in Ontario.

It's just like taxation without representation. Our votes don't count or matter and yet we are forced to pay taxes and send transfer payments. Nice.

That’s why western canada has to separate. The first past the post voting system never allows us to participate . We could put any Saskatchewan farmer in charge of western canada and we would be fine.

Any country with regions of smaller populations than other regions will have to balance the interests fairly. It seems Canada has been ignoring this reality.

Then our equalization payments should stay west of the Manitoba border, too. How does that sound Ontario and Quebec? Fair enough? I’d say so.

The crown and all its grifters along with the red chamber all need to be sent back to the king with a no return stamp. Canada becomes a republic like the USA and we then can be on equal footing from coast to coast to coast. Until that or the west separates nothing can change for those west of the Manitoba/Ontario boarder.

Elections need to be held on the 28th and not counted until the 29th when all the voting is done and no media on the 28th

Parliament has been paralysed since September of 2024; yet, somehow everyone conveniently forgets this and is still willing to vote for the NDP and Liberals who caused these problems in the first place.
