Offering alcohol to an alcoholic and then getting upset that people turn to alcohol first is absolutely repulsive on a moral and ethical level

This is purely exploitative, abusive, and pointless. It is done with no more purpose than to generate clicks and engagement by victimizing unsuspecting people on the streets. It’s no better than those assholes who go around poking people with needles or stealing their phones to cause anger, fear, or possibly a “chase.” These accounts should be banned. This was a seriously stupid exercise in futility. Zero control over the sample people and not offering equivalent values to the subjects. You’re putting a bottle of booze in front of an alcoholic, or an addict of some type. Of course they’re going to choose the bottle. Even in the unlikely event they weren’t addicts, you’re still offering them a new bottle of booze against a lousy fast food treat. They would select the booze with the plan to sell it for money. Moreover, while you THINK you’re providing benefit by giving cash in place of the food when they select it, you are actually creating distrust or false expectations with the people. This is immoral and unsustainable for those vulnerable people. There is no science or structure to it. It’s pure manipulation of unsuspecting desperate people reacting to a stimulus even if it’s bad for them. Disgusting account!

I saw guy who once said that alcohol keeps you warm and help you cop with the situation while 1 meal wont do much so yeah in their situation they are right to choose the drink, a lot of homeless end up alcoholic to forget and exepecting them to choose food over addictoon is cruel
