ALDS Game 5 vs Seattle Mariners- Heartbreak

A serious franchise uses this as a springboard and acquires bats and re-signs baseball’s best pitcher who you accidentally drafted. The money is there. Ilitch has zero interest in spending to compete. And there are 3–4 guys who should’ve just played their final game as a Tiger.

Great analysis. Our at bats were PATHETIC. Hats off to the pitching.... man Im so pissed AJ never gave Rodgers or Jones a shot when they were batting way better than 8/9 of the lineup... AJ made so many poor decisions. Im very open to new management.

Great series, Chris! Stay strong!

Great stuff all season, Chris. You’re the narrator, man.

Game 5 added. Go here if you watched to watch all 170 recaps from this season

Everything we were concerned about with offense just got emphasized and dragged to the millionth degree tonight. Had to watch it play out for inning after inning until it finally, and for the last time, caught up to them. A fitting end 😕

15.5 game lead blown and lost in the 15th inning of game 5

From a Mariners fan: Hats off to you guys. Skubal is an absolute pleasure to watch and I hate that you guys are potentially losing him after next year. He’s one hell of a pitcher and deserves a lot better.

Saying it was one of the best baseball games you’ve ever watched is crazy. It was an awful performance by the Tigers. 7 innings our hitters went 1-2-3, we had 4 walks, and only had 4 hits after Carpenter hit his HR. That’s NOT a good baseball game to watch.

Mariners fan here. I really enjoy how you combine objective analysis with really deep passion. That was an insane game that was gonna really hurt for whoever lost it. Was fun to play a series against a team/fanbase that is genuinely likable.

how can you call that one of the greatest games you’ve ever watched when everyone not named Kerry Carpenter went 4-46?

Why does melton only get one inning? Why was Skubal pulled? If you aren’t gonna sign him who cares! I’m sick of this shit! You have to win!

Royals fan here, have really enjoyed your content. Super tough loss, rooting for yall to bounce back next year!

i’ve been watching ur vids after every game this series and as a mariners fan i have a lot of respect for you, the tigers fan base, and the organization. seems like we share the same passion of just wanting our team to win. love ur takes man

Chris, thank you for everything you do for Tigers fans. These videos were some of my favorite parts of my day over the season and it’s so great seeing a fellow fan who cares so deeply and loves this team more than anyone I know. Keep at it and I’m already excited for next year!🐅

Not pitch hitting for meadows with Dingler on second was inexcusable, take your pick of who on the bench you pick but can’t go down with him

Losing both Skubal starts this series is brutal. Ending the season on Skubal starts the last 2 seasons is brutal

Finally! - these two bozo’s

Jake Rodgers throwing left handed had a better chance of getting three outs

Another Mariners fan here and I concur with all the sentiments that my fellow M’a fans are posting here. We have a ton of respect for the Tigers and the Tiger fanbase. Great series! Glad we don’t have to see Skubal or Carpenter anymore this postseason!

If Hinch forced Skubal out of the game then he’s a flat out dumbass. If Skubal wanted to come out then he’s not worth the contract he wants. Regardless, that’s one of the worst offensive performances I’ve seen in any playoff series of any sport ever.

Launch Hinch into the sun

I’ll take my division trophy. Go Guards Seriously. Great game. See you in April.

Mariners fan here you guys have one hell of a team. I see why you had the best record in baseball for a good portion of the season. I finally visited Detroit a few years ago loved the sights and all the history of your great city o and Buddy’s Pizza too

Mariners fan here, hell of a series! Your team is legit and was a fun series. Kerry Bonds is the real deal. See you next year!

I honestly think that if the Mariners lost this game, I (as a mariners fan) would say the same thing. If the tigers were just a little deeper in the lineup this would be a different story. Skubal is the truth!

Not bringing in Hurter against Crawford was the biggest fucking mistake. Kahnle shouldn’t even be on this roster

Truthfully Chris - I wont get over this season. We know Chris Ilitch is a shit owner. We arent paying Skubal. We arent winning shit w/o Skubal. Our window was thru 2026. And I’m crazy disappointed in Hinch. Idk what he was doing tonight. Have so much faith in him but he was bad

Thanks for making the season fun Chris. It will be disappointing if they go another year without making an effort to add any real talent to this roster. Love this group and the way they fought, but there are a ton of holes in this lineup that need to be addressed.

Pack

That was all AJ Hinch's fault, didn't use a pinch hitter, pulled Skubal way too early.

Well when this is our manager we sure aren’t in for much luck.
