😨: Assamese Film goes wild, shows Gay couple kissing‼️ This has to be one of the most ‘explicit’ films in the Assamese film industry where the film chose to openly show a gay couple kissing on screen. ‘Satya: The Truth’ - a film directed by Rupjyoti Borthakur, and written by Chandan Talukdar portrays a gay love story. A young ball falls in love with a successful businessman. The film features popular actor Utpal Das along with Rakesh Baruah - who played the role of gay in the film. In this video clip, both of them can be seen in an intimate scene. This comes as an ice-break for the industry as a whole as Assamese Film Industry has always been conservative about the content it shows. While some applaud the makers for taking it up as a bold step, some criticise it because of is ‘too explicit’. On another hand, the film narrates a story to normalise homosexuality in society and that it should not be considered alien but should show acceptance towards the same.

During meeting with film producers and directors he said - •The work environment in the film industry must be healthy. •I will also meet and interact with film workers directly. •The government will extend full support to the film industry. •For newcomers, steps should be taken to enhance skills. •A corpus fund should be created for skill development across various areas of the industry. •Skill University will have dedicated facilities for film industry training. •Telugu cinema has already reached an international level. •Cinema is one of the most important industries in Telangana. •I intervened to resolve the workers’ strike because disputes should not disrupt the industry. •Reforms are needed in matters between producers and workers. •Producers must treat workers with humanity. •Producers, workers, and the government should come together to draft a joint policy. •The government will protect both producers and workers. •Monitoring mechanisms are required for the industry. •Let us prepare a new framework (a “book”) listing what the industry needs. •The government will not tolerate attempts to control or capture industry systems. •Everyone must work within the law. •I will remain neutral in matters related to the industry. •Hyderabad is also hosting international film shootings. •We must ensure more Telugu film shootings happen within Telangana. •My goal is to place the Telugu film industry firmly on the international stage.
