So Switzerland is a safe haven for Russians? I thought they were known for neutrality. Supporting Russia is NOT neutrality

Ukraine has not invaded russia, nor has it abducted Russian children. There are no russian children for Ukraine to return to Putin’s regime. This is just one of many examples showing that negotiations with russia are futile. Putin agrees to them only to buy time. His goal is not to return the Ukrainian children who have been trapped. Every Ukrainian child in Russian occupation is a witness to war crimes. Putin is desperate to keep them silent — and the only way to do that is by keeping them under strict control. That’s exactly what the head of the Russian delegation in Istanbul, Vladimir Medinsky, meant when he said all the children on Ukraine’s submitted list are "under state control." In russian terms, “state control” means being under the watch of the military and the FSB (russian security services). Over 700 rescued children have shared how Russian soldiers or FSB agents come to Ukrainian families' homes to check whether the child has received a Russian passport, attends a russian school, what photos and songs are on their phone, whether they have Ukrainian books, study in an online Ukrainian school, or what they think about the war. A child who does not follow the occupiers’ instructions can be taken from their family, sent to a Russian orphanage, or placed with a Russian foster family. The children rescued by Save Ukraine are witnesses to war crimes — and their testimonies have been documented. To Russia, the silence of Ukrainian children is more valuable than gold. Because of their deportation, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in 2023 for Vladimir Putin and Russia’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova. This is why Putin is effectively under house arrest — he didn’t attend the BRICS summit in Brazil, even though it was extremely important to him. Russia understands only the language of strength. Save Ukraine thanks all our partners who are helping make Ukraine stronger. Thank you to everyone supporting the rescue of Ukrainian children.

US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg during a discussion programme ‘Ukraine: Futures Frontline’ organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine on the occasion of WEF2026 in Davos: Russia is not winning this war. They’re not. Putin’s definition of winning and my definition of winning are very different. He measures his advances in meters, not miles. Right now, I think he does not want to become Nicholas II, the last czar of Russia. I think he's trying to figure out a way to get out of this thing, because he knows he is not going to end up winning this war. I understand it's a harsh winter. I understand what’s happening in Kyiv. I understand the temperatures, but I really do believe that if Ukraine gets through this winter - January, February - and you get into March and April, the advantage accrues to Ukraine, not to Russia. And I don't think they’re going to have much more success in what they’re doing out there. Their frontline units have been mauled. They've lost over 20 general officers. So when you look at what he’s trying to do, he hasn’t been very, very successful. I’m hoping for a good outcome, meaning that we’re heading towards maybe the final stages of peace talks and development. I think the impediment to progress is not Ukraine. The impediment is Putin. He’s reached a point, psychologically, where he really can’t let go, because if he does, he admits it’s a failure. And what he has done is a failure. When you look at the amount of territory they’ve gained, it’s really minimal. Then we’ll get to a point where reconstruction can start. Peace can take hold in Ukraine. And I’m hoping that by Independence Day this summer, there will be peace in the land.

Today, the Speaker of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, is standing at the podium of a summit in Geneva, speaking about “Nazis in Ukraine” and the “Kyiv junta”. This is the same Matvienko who signed the decree to send troops into Ukraine, who has been a staunch, fervent supporter of the war, and who has been under every possible sanction for years. And yet, she STILL travels to Europe. How is that possible? It’s very simple. There’s a loophole. It’s called “international cooperation and dialogue.” Various summits, forums, and inter-parliamentary gatherings continue to invite Russian delegates, as if we’re living in peacetime and there’s no war at all. “Well, we invite people from all over the world, we want to hear all voices,” they explain. And under the guise of a conference on women in politics, sanctions are temporarily lifted, allowing a war criminal like Matvienko to freely roam around Geneva for a few days. Shopping, restaurants, leisure. If she has a spare 7 hours, she might even risk a quick drive to her lavish villa in Italy — bought, who knows with what money. But leisure isn’t the main issue here. The real issue is that this war criminal is given a platform. A long-awaited, badly needed international platform — not to discuss the summit’s stated agenda, of course, but to spread Putin’s propaganda across Europe. To normalise it. “Look at me, I’m just like any other parliamentary speaker here — and let me tell you how Putin is heroically fighting the Kyiv Nazi junta, and how Ukraine never really existed to begin with.” Inviting Putin’s delegates to international events is a massive, catastrophic mistake. Every new “temporary lifting of sanctions” is a gift to Putin. Make no mistake — Russian state TV is already milking this visit for hours of airtime. Propagandists are applauding: look, our officials are once again welcome in the West. And this is a mistake that’s easy to avoid. Right now — simply stop inviting representatives and mouthpieces of the Putin regime to Europe. They have nothing valuable to say; their opinions belong in the trash. These are war criminals whose only goal is to broadcast Putin’s narrative abroad. Dear Dr. Tulia Ackson I am addressing you as the event organiser with a clear demand: cancel all remaining speaking appearances by Valentina Matvienko scheduled for July 29 and 30. Valentina needs to go home — to her beloved Putin — not parade around Geneva as if she’s a legitimate political figure.
