The body was taken from the tunnel, used by Hamas as a command center, on Saturday, after troops reached the hospital several days prior. Several other bodies, belonging to other Hamas operatives, were also taken. The military says that following an identification process, it is now confirmed that one of the bodies belongs to Sinwar, who was killed in an Israeli strike on the tunnel on May 13.
