After today’s press conference with Jason Schilling and the Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA), we continue to be extremely disappointed by the lack of clarity from union leadership. Instead of providing the answers Albertans deserve, the ATA shifted positions, were dodgy about the terms of their own demands, and would not commit to keeping children in school next week. Albertans deserve straight answers: will our kids have their education disrupted in the coming weeks? Teachers, parents and students are being left in limbo without stability. Alberta’s children deserve certainty.

Having suffered a seizure due to the Gardasil vaccine, Candace Owens was outraged to hear the lies spew forth from Caroline Kennedy. We were told it would prevent HPV which leads to cancer. Transplant & Surgical Gastroenterology Senior Consultant Dr Neerav Goyal says, “Two children, Tyler and Kelly, from the Philippines, recently underwent liver transplants. What made this case unique was that they are twins and both suffered from a condition called choledochal cyst. This condition caused liver failure in both children. It is extremely rare for twins to share the exact same problem… When their parents first approached us, they were informed about the transplant option, and both parents offered to be donors. Unfortunately, the father was not medically fit; consequently, the mother and her brother, the children's maternal uncle, donated portions of their livers. Twenty per cent of the liver was harvested from both the mother and the uncle… This is an extremely rare condition, occurring in about one in 100,000 children; furthermore, only 10 per cent of those cases progress to the kind of liver failure requiring a transplant. Both children are now healthy and can lead normal lives… The procedure is successful in both cases because the liver regenerates, growing back in both the donor and the recipient.”

The somatic mutation theory—which is the current theory in which treatment is based—posits that you have a mutation in a single cell, and that gives rise to a whole population of cells that look the same and have the same mutation. But the Cancer Genome Atlas has shown that that theory is completely wrong. The cancer cells are very heterogeneous, so they're made up of very different populations of cells with different mutations, and one of the populations is the cancer stem cell. It's a sub-population of the cancer. These are generally slow-growing, but they're distinct in that they have the ability to divide indefinitely and grow indefinitely, and can change their characteristics. Basically, if you get rid of the fast-dividing cells, which is the cancer, you're left with the stem cells, which then become the roots, which grow back to form the tumor" sometimes years later. Conventional chemotherapy gets rid of the fast-dividing regular cancer cells but *NOT* the stem cells. So the key question is: how do you get rid of the stem cells? “There are a number of repurposed drugs that do it, and this has been well-established in scientific medical literature. I’ve just been tagged in a video showing the state of Gedalo Primary School in Mandera. This is not politics. This is about dignity. Mandera receives millions in county funds and NG-CDF every year. The governor, Mohamed Aden Khalif, has been reported to own multiple properties in Nairobi. So a simple question must be asked, where is the money meant for schools and children going? Leadership is not measured by wealth accumulated, but by lives improved. The people of Mandera deserve answers. And ultimately, they deserve leadership that puts children first.
