🚨⚠️ALERT: GIFT CARD SCAM!!

We have a Dollar General store here that will only accept cash for gift cards. So you pay cash and when you go to use the actual gift card, it doesn’t work because the cashier keeps the money and gift card is never activated. They give you a receipt then void it out after you leave.

This is not new, but it’s effective. InComm and Blackhawk, the two companies that produce these gift cards, know about this problem and have done very little to stop it.

Tell that to all Indian scammers.

the missing link seems to be that once it is scanned at the register, it is activated for usage. question is how they get notified one of their numbers has been activated...
