Karp argues the winners won't be whoever has the best model. They'll be whoever owns their data, models, & compute. Field made the same point at Config. "The narrative seems to be software is kaput. But a lot of software will do just fine or actually even amazing." What lasts, he says, is software where the data compounds into its own flywheel. The data is the moat, not the model.

We need to look at what happened to Vision 2030: what have we achieved, what have we not achieved, and why have we not achieved that? I have lost hope with the current crop of politicians. Next year is an opportunity for Kenyans to say enough is enough. If you gave us promises and you have not fulfilled them, go home. Let’s come up with a new crop of leaders whom we can trust #JKLive
