The development comes as new footage appears to show Pretti spitting on federal officers and kicking their car last week. The parents of Pretti have retained Steve Schleicher, who served as a special prosecutor for Minnesota AG Keith Ellison, helping secure the conviction of Derek Chauvin. “Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital,” Pretti’s family said in a previous statement. “Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. He was a catechist, she was in some sort of teen program in the church, but he was not her catechist — he had no direct role of authority over her — but he was older than her, like by three, maybe four years. ... Now, I’ve spoken to the victim directly, who has said she was 16 when they met, so the age of the victim at the time was 16. She told me that they had sex. Alex told someone else, who then told me, that they did not have sex at that age. So, Alex is not saying that they never had sex, but that they didn’t have sex at that age, according to my sources. The victim is claiming otherwise, so this is a detail that is still uncertain. As for the other text messages with adult women — stuff as recent as July of this year (earlier this month), saying really disgusting things — that’s all real. All of the screenshots that you have seen are real.” After presenting the facts, TUA comments: “Now, even if the girl was 16 and Alex and her didn’t have sex, that is still a horrible, scandalous thing to talk to a minor in that way. ABC confirms what The Daily Letter and virtually everyone on X who is not brainwashed by propaganda had already confirmed 24 hours earlier that Alex Pretti never pulled a gun, never reached for it, never attacked DHS agents, was only recording when he was pepper-sprayed as he tried to rescue two women being assaulted by DHS agents sent by Trump and Noem to Minneapolis, not really for immigration enforcement, but for the governorship election that they have now effectively lost. The plan from here in Washington was to talk about fraud by Somali-Americans and using that as a pretext to deploy ICE, thousands of agents to one state out of 50. To the public, it was going to be about fraud, not election. In reality, it was about the governorship election there. But with the killings of Renee Nicole Good on January 7 and Alex Pretti on January 24 and massive protests, the Republicans have now lost the election there and likely in many other places. What is hilarious is how the general public often fails to see that it's never about WMDs, drugs or fraud, but power and money for those in power and their friends.

To the public, it was going to be about fraud, not election. In reality, it was about the governorship election there. But with the killings of Renee Nicole Good on January 7 and Alex Pretti on January 24 and massive protests, the Republicans have now lost the election there and likely in many other places. What is hilarious is how the general public often fails to see that it's never about WMDs, drugs or fraud, but power and money for those in power and their friends.

New video has emerged of Alex Pretti clashing with federal officers 11 days before he was shot dead in Minneapolis. The footage shows the nurse taken to the ground by ICE officers after swearing at them kicking their vehicle and smashing a tail light. After he breaks free, what appears to be a handgun is visible in his waistband but he does not reach for it. It's not known if any officers at this incident were also there when Pretti was killed last Saturday. Two of those involved in the fatal shooting have now been placed on administrative leave.

It has been just over two months (17 May 2026) since Alex Coughlan's rich and meaningful existence was casually and cruelly taken, and both of the accused have still yet to be charged with murder (further charges are likely in time). His family wish to keep Alex in the collective memory of the public as much as possible. This entails more than acknowledging his death but also his life; and so they would like me to share this clip of Alex having a laugh with his younger sister Zara. To give another small glimpse into the type of person he was. To show that he had people who loved him. Who miss him. People whose path's were interwoven with Alex's in a million ways, until evil crossed his path on that unimaginable day. Rest In Peace Alex. Please share.
