President Stubb: We in Europe have to get out of the mindset that it's only us helping Ukraine. We have to ask ourselves the question: how can Ukraine help us? That's why I have, from the beginning, been a strong advocate of Ukraine's EU membership and of Ukraine's NATO membership. There's not one military in Europe or the United States, for that matter, that is capable to conduct modern warfare in the way in which Ukraine is doing now. That's why they're actually helping out in the Middle East.

I think really the best solution is Ukrainian membership in NATO and the idea of creating security in Europe by having Ukraine as a kind of buffer zone between Russia and nato countries. Ukraine is just NOT that Important. John Mearsheimer: We're talking about NATO getting involved in a war, and NATO's in no position to win a war against the Russians, number one. Number two, the last thing the United States wants, given that we're up to our eyeballs Middle East, plus we have to worry about containing is a war, in Ukraine against Russia. And then most important of all, once you talk about the United States and Russia actually fighting each other, the threat of nuclear escalation, goes up greatly, and the last thing we want is a nuclear war over Ukraine because Ukraine is just not that important.
