Chris Weidman deserves his contracted UFC 309 ‘show’ money after Eryk Anders had to pull out just hours before their fight. “My show money is my win money. I have guaranteed money. So that was my point—like, I showed up, you guys had that on the budget sheet to begin with, you guys had a great night, why do you guys get to keep that money and I don’t? That was my thought. Their thoughts were, ‘Listen, this happens on like 40% of the cards, and if we paid people to not fight…’ They just want to be consistent on what they do in those situations.” First off, the UFC doesn’t deal with anywhere near 40% of fighters falling off the card on the actual day of the fight, especially where there’s no opportunity for a replacement fighter to step in. Chris Weidman did everything he was supposed to do for UFC 309 right up to the start of the fight card. He successfully made weight, attended all media obligations, and was ready to fight on Saturday night. His opponent, Eryk Anders, fell ill with food poisoning—which happens—and had to be removed from the card the day of the fight. The UFC was not able to replace Anders with a last-second opponent. None of this was Weidman’s fault or within his control. Weidman is on a fully guaranteed contract, not a “show/win” type of deal. The UFC had a very successful night, as evidenced by their announcement of a top 5 biggest gate in UFC history. The money that was supposed to be paid to Weidman was clearly already allocated. The tickets were sold, and Weidman’s family and friends—many of whom traveled to New York—were all in attendance, ready to watch him fight. Yes, the UFC rebooked Weidman for UFC 310 on December 7th, but that should have no bearing on them paying his full guaranteed “show” money for UFC 309. And he attended a Clinton Global Initiative conference…. I’m shook! Who is this guy!? WTF is he doing in TUCSON? And does he know Nancy? I caught him doing a ride share there once, in her neighborhood! But he’s really careful about what he shows the camera. He lived in an apartment complex for very short amounts of time with 2 German shepherds and another man who has only made 4 posts. One of them is showing a type of gun I don’t know about. These guys are creepy and they’re up to something! And they all follow the dealership the Range Rover that had temp tags on it and who had the man unalive himself in the back of it! After getting brain damage 2 weeks ago and being told he had to be put to sleep it’s been a steep learning curve for little Stormzy. He keeps falling but he refuses to stay down. It’s become obvious that his recovery will take some time. He needs patience, love and medical care. So we spoke with his owner and he agreed. He is a lovely man who had Stormzy’s 2 other siblings and lives in a very busy area. He was delighted when we said we could give Stormzy a better life. We are also helping him with sterilizing the dogs in his area. He is a very good man. Especially to know what is best for Stormzy. I’m sure our inbox will be full of requests about Stormzy but the truth is that’s a long way off. He needs a lot of patience and care which he will get with us. He is a lovely man who had Stormzy’s 2 other siblings and lives in a very busy area. He was delighted when we said we could give Stormzy a better life. We are also helping him with sterilizing the dogs in his area. He is a very good man. Especially to know what is best for Stormzy. I’m sure our inbox will be full of requests about Stormzy but the truth is that’s a long way off. He needs a lot of patience and care which he will get with us. My breaking point was seeing an entitled little man throw a subway sandwich at a federal agent just doing his job. Our heroes need a shout out: Police, first responders, armed forces… the men and women in uniform who run towards danger are being treated with so little respect, so little gratitude, I think the world needs a reminder of what happens without these people protecting our safety. Are memories so short, that people forget the incredible bravery it took to run into the twin towers on 911, to drive through a hurricane to get people to safety? The same men and women that ran into burning buildings and joined a career whose job is to protect you are now being treated like the enemy. You have to think that the men and women who served on 9/11 are the same men and women that are being screamed at on the streets of New York “Free Palestine“ “No Kings” and told they are “pigs” or “monsters” all the wild defending those same people‘s rights to protest. Surveillance video released of Ukrainian refugee's fatal stabbing on Charlotte transit train. The video captures 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. stabbing 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska at least three times with a folding knife, including once in the neck, during an unprovoked attack on 22 August. Zarutska, who was wearing her pizzeria uniform and scrolling on her phone, had fled war-torn Ukraine seeking safety in the US only to be killed by a stranger on public transit. Brown, a homeless man with an extensive criminal history, had previously served five years in prison for armed robbery and was arrested in January after claiming "man-made" materials in his body were controlling him. The footage shows Brown calmly walking through the train car after the attack, stripping off his bloody sweatshirt as Zarutska collapsed in her seat and died on board. Brown was arrested at the next station and charged with first-degree murder, while his public defender has filed a motion questioning his mental capacity to stand trial. The motive is unknown yet.
