Alex.Kane asks “Is it worth saving the Assembly ? This notion we must save the Assembly, it is vital to Northern Ireland. That’s a load of phooey. It might be the wake-up NI needs that you bring down the present mess and try to build afresh rather than on...

@AlexKane221b It might be the wake up call in NI needs. And it might create a political vacuum that lasts for years only to be filled by very bad things.

@AlexKane221b Couldn’t agree more. We the public are getting taken for mugs. Our politicians deliver nothing but hatred. Waste of money.

“We are saving Christianity. We are saving God.” -Eric Trump It takes a certain type of diabolical narcissism to believe that we can save God rather than that God is saving us. No matter where you land politically, we must name Christian Nationalism as a theological heresy. Rather than Jesus being the Savior of the world, political leaders claim to be the saviors of the world, of humanity, and civilization. And America replaces Jesus as God’s central messianic force at work in the world. Beware of anyone who says that they are saving God or even saving the world. There is only one Savior - and it is not Donald Trump. Rebuke it… in the name of Jesus.

.The Joint Staff 🇺🇸 Chairman Gen. Dan Caine thanks the Americans who work our national assembly lines: "We carry the weapons that you build. We rely on the systems that you create, and the distance from that factory floor and that assembly line, to the front line, is incredibly short. Thank you — keep it up!"

Updating the Assembly on my visit to Washington DC, and why it mattered to turn up, stand up and speak up for Northern Ireland! We may be small, but our ambition is not. 👇👇👇

BREAKING: muslims are now declaring that Las Vegas is NO LONGER Sin City and that they’ve renamed it “Halal City.” America needs to WAKE UP to the spread of islam. It WILL end up worse than Europe if we don’t stop it NOW!

WAKE UP CALL! Every Republican needs to hear this. ThePersistence: ‘We won EVERYTHING for Republicans. But where is the SAVE America Act? This is their opportunity. Are they going to blow it like they did in 2016 and lose it all or will they DO WHAT WE VOTED FOR?’ We don’t care that it might take long work days, GOP. Nothing is more important than passing the SAVE America Act.

Northern Ireland Troubles Bill is a mess and it should not proceed. It was flawed from the outset and Ministers now admit it may need major changes, yet they ask the House to agree to carry it over and vote without seeing what those changes will be. Carry-over is meant for settled legislation, not for something this contentious and uncertain. From the beginning, we warned that veterans would still face vexatious pursuit through the courts. We were dismissed. Now, at the last moment, the Government appears to concede that those warnings were justified. I served in Northern Ireland and lost a close friend, Robert Nairac. I want truth, but this Bill will not deliver it. Nor will dragging veterans repeatedly through the courts. There are also serious unanswered questions about the role of the Irish Government and the information still withheld. Where is the transparency and where is the accountability? The Government has handled this poorly from start to finish and now asks us to trust that it will somehow be fixed later. We should not accept that. This is bad legislation, badly handled, and it is time to reject it.

After an upbeat party conference we in the The SDLP are Building Something New. You can read more here on work that needs to start now, within the Assembly, and on a structured, honest path to a reconciled new Ireland.

We are not bringing down the house that we built. We won't be working to bring down the image of the party. But the truth remains that injustice and impunity cannot continue in the way it is going. It is when the Supreme Court gives a final verdict on the matter that it will be said to be laid to rest. - Julius Abure speaking on leadership crisis in the Labour Party. #PoliticsToday

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on Arsenal's transfer business and being "ruthless": "There is more that we want to do. Every time we have an opportunity to improve the squad and bring more quality and depth to the squad, we need to do that. We are actively trying to do so. "The thing with the market is that it doesn’t just depend on you, and we are very clear on that. But the approach, the will and the desire of the club, that’s unquestionable, and we’re going to try to do that." "But we cannot promise that we’re going to do it because, again, it doesn’t only depend on us."

The world needs the United Nations, but right now the United Nations needs the world too. Today, I stressed in my speech that my main priority for the next 237 days as President of the General Assembly is to defend the United Nations, its Charter, and the principles enshrined in it. To preserve the UN and save multilateralism, we need to be decisive, principled, and #BetterTogether.

It is the inhumanity of the few, that will wake up the humanity of the many. They said they are suspending Ubuntu, we must never suspend ours. The cruel are loud, we must be louder.

Nick Fuentes argues that Trump was simply a Trojan horse and that MAGA functioned exactly as it was designed to. “It could not have been done without Trump.” “He utterly betrayed MAGA and the foundational pillars of America First.” “It’s not a failure. It’s a success. It’s a roaring success… MAGA didn’t die, this is what it always was. This is what it was designed to be.” “While they are complicit in the destruction of this superpower, the Republican Party is building a rival superpower that hates us.” “Is it better than the Democrats? I’m not sure. I think they’re the same thing. And I’m not voting for any of it.” “We were deceived and we were lied to.” “We need, in 2026, for this administration to be shut the f*ck down. What does this administration do? Cover up the Epstein files, embezzle money through government contracts, and bring us to war for Israel.” “Someone needs to take the flame and carry it further than Trump. He needs to take the baton and fulfill America First.” “If you’re not serious about letting the Epstein–Iran War administration and presidential ticket fail, then you are a sucker.” “Might as well go sign up to flick the lights on and off for them on Saturday.”
