Algorand processed more than 876,000 transactions on September 6, its highest daily volume of the month, while sustaining more than 10 TPS notable because the activity occurred on a Sunday, when crypto markets typically see lower activity. The bigger question is what the transactions represent. TPS is infrastructure. Sustained usage is adoption. Real economic activity is valuation. If Algorand can continue converting throughput into payments, stablecoin activity, tokenized assets and institutional settlement, then the network's technological capacity becomes economically relevant. And that is where the thesis gets interesting: High throughput → low-cost settlement → real-world applications → liquidity → institutional adoption. The blockchain race won't ultimately be won by the network with the biggest marketing campaign. It will be won by the infrastructure that moves the most real economic value, reliably, cheaply and at scale. Algorand is increasingly making that case.
