Alien (1979) Theatrical Cut 35mm scan

I see movies like this and I am just baffled how they did it. not the effects, the whole thing. the sound the lighting the pacing the sets the outfits the dialog the props. its becoming a lost art

I could not even imagine how people felt seeing this in 79. It must have blown people away.

I saw one of these prints in an actual theater and it was absolutely glorious

A GREAT film Apart from Aliens, its a shame such a mess has been made of the sequels

There are some movies that leave a long lasting feeling in one’s mind. Alien is one of them

80s sci-fi aesthetics are UNMATCHED. industrial mechanical and beautiful.

Such a beautiful film.
