ALIEN VS. PREDATOR was released 22 years ago today. Paul WS. Anderson deliberately kept CGI to a minimum, with roughly 70% of the creature work built from suits & miniatures. The Alien Queen alone had a 15-foot practical version operated by 12 puppeteers.

“Marvin the Monster” was a 15 foot long unidentified marine creature recorded under an oil rig in 1962. The creature was captured on a live video feed by Mobot, a remote-controlled underwater robot owned by the Shell Oil Company, while it was scanning the seafloor for oil deposits roughly 900 to 1,000 feet deep. Operators watching the footage from the drilling ship Eureka estimated that the animal was 15 feet (4 meters) long but only about 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter. They noted that it swam with a very distinctive corkscrew or spiral motion.

Imagine living in the Viking Age with no concept of space travel, aliens, or advanced technology—then suddenly coming face-to-face with a creature that looks like it came straight from a nightmare. That terrifying idea is at the heart of Outlander (2008). The story follows Kainan, a mysterious warrior whose spacecraft crashes on Earth during the Viking era. But he doesn’t arrive alone. The deadly Moorwen survives the crash as well, unleashing an alien predator unlike anything the Vikings have ever encountered.

Retractable 20mm cannon turrets on the Convair B-36 Peacemaker strategic bomber The aircraft was built by Convair and operated by the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1959. The B-36 is the largest mass-produced piston-engined aircraft ever built. It had the longest wingspan of any combat aircraft ever built, at 70 meters. The B-36 was the first bomber capable of delivering any of the nuclear weapons in the U.S. arsenal from an internal bomb bay without aircraft modifications. With a range of 16,000 km and a maximum payload of almost 40 tons, the B-36 was capable of intercontinental flight without refueling. The defensive armament consisted of six remote-controlled retractable gun turrets, and fixed tail and nose turrets. Each turret was fitted with two 20 mm cannon, for a total of 16. Recoil vibration from gunnery practice often caused the aircraft's electrical wiring to jar loose or the vacuum tube electronics to malfunction, leading to failure of the aircraft controls and navigation equipment; this was a factor in the crash of B-36B 44-92035 on November 22nd 1950.

🚨 JUST IN: The man who admitted to R*PING and impregnating his 12-year-old relative is a HONDURAN ILLEGAL ALIEN — Fox News Jose Lopez-Montoya pleaded GUILTY and faces up to 99 years in prison. STOP IMPORTING THESE PEOPLE! He entered in under OBAMA, DHS tells Bill Melugin The monster REPEATEDLY r*ped the girl across two years, and will be sentenced on April 28 Of course, he was called a "Lake Charles Man" by the media, despite the obvious red flags. DHS TO FOX: "This ‘Lake Charles Man’ is actually an illegal alien from Honduras who admitted to illegally entering the U.S. in 2011. Once again, the media is running cover for a criminal illegal alien." "This sicko pled guilty to incest. He r*ped and impregnated his 12 year-old relative. ICE is working with our Louisiana partners to ensure this monster is never loose in American communities again." The jaw-dropping invasion betrayal keeps showing itself every other day at this point. PEOPLE NEED TO BE IN PRISON who allowed this!

Mythos / Fable is unbelievable. Was on a customer call today and had Claude transcribing in the background. As they were telling me about the features they wish their current software had, Claude was building the features in real time. By the end of the call I was able to show a fully working product, with the exact workflow they mentioned 15 minutes earlier. Autonomous looped building triggered from a customer call. 🤯

The best way to preserve knowledge and timekeeping systems from the Geophysical Event is to mark time capsules with the zodiac constellations. The Sayburç site in Turkey, near Göbekli Tepe, is not 9,000 years old but approximately 11,000 years old. It was built by survivors of the catastrophic abrupt climate change associated with the Younger Dryas. They marked the winter solstice and the vernal equinox. We now know that the site was built to preserve human knowledge and was deliberately buried. On this wall, we can clearly see the constellation Taurus, the Bull, facing Orion. This represents the winter solstice, as confirmed by my astronomical calculations. The man with the erect phallus represents the Sun standing between the two lions at the vernal equinox, when the Sun was positioned between the two lion figures. In the same way, our current civilization marked the date on the Hoover Dam using Polaris and the vernal equinox, while Jeff Bezos and the Long Now Foundation are building a giant precessional clock inside a mountain to preserve this knowledge from the coming collapse of civilization. The mainstream narrative teaches you that the zodiac constellations were Mesopotamian and Greek inventions from 3,000 years ago, but we can clearly see that this knowledge was already present 11,000 years ago.

🚨🇺🇸 BOMBSHELL REPORT: PENTAGON ADMITS SPREADING UFO LIES TO HIDE SECRET WEAPONS PROGRAMS The Pentagon just confessed to decades of deliberately spreading UFO conspiracy theories to cover up secret military programs, including fake alien photos and classified hazing rituals. A bombshell investigation reveals an Air Force colonel doctored UFO photos in the 1980s and planted them at a bar near Area 51. The goal? Hide the F-117 stealth fighter program by making locals think they saw alien technology. Even worse: For decades, new Air Force commanders were shown fake "alien craft" photos in a hazing ritual called "Yankee Blue," told it was real reverse-engineered alien tech, then threatened with execution if they talked. Hundreds believed it. Former Pentagon investigator Sean Kirkpatrick uncovered the schemes, including how the military let UFO stories spread to hide nuclear vulnerability tests from the Soviets. They literally made their own officers think aliens disabled nukes. The Pentagon omitted these explosive findings from its 2024 UFO report to "protect classified secrets and avoid embarrassment." Now conspiracy theories run wild because the military poisoned its own well with decades of lies. Your government's disinformation campaign worked too well. Source: WSJ

The last time the world ever saw Freddie Mercury in public, he walked to a microphone and said four words.. “Thank you… good night.” It was February 18, 1990, at London’s Dominion Theatre. Queen had just received the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music, with Brian May doing most of the speaking while Freddie stood beside Roger Taylor and John Deacon. By that point, Freddie had already been living with AIDS for several years, something he kept intensely private while continuing to record with Queen. That night at the BRITs would become his final public appearance. On November 23, 1991, Freddie released a statement confirming he had AIDS. He died the following day at 45. There was no big farewell. No final speech. Just four words. What Queen performance do you remember most?

Wilber Rafael Garces Perez evaded an ICE agent on a long, high-speed pursuit, forced the agent to pin his vehicle to get him to stop, and then continued to drive off before being shot. His lawyer claims he was in the country legally and had a work permit. A work permit is an Employment Authorization Document. USCIS policy is clear that approving Form I-765 does not grant an alien immigration status. It only authorizes work. ICE says he had a final order of removal. Given that Garces Perez fled and was willing to go to great lengths to avoid being detained from a vehicle he obviously knew was ICE, he most assuredly was in the country illegally. More information confirming this will be released shortly. I’m sure of it. When it is proven he was in the country illegally, DoorDash should be charged for hiring illegal aliens. This isn't the first time.

Episode 2 of #KnightsOfGuinevere arrives onto YouTube on October 9! My work from the final scene of the pilot: the Repair Halo room. 🧵 In the later months of animation work, I had split this scene with kami 🔥, who animated the intervening shots not shown here. A bit of wonderful color scripting and design by Eyecager also included here. I had ran out of time to work on this in the rough animation phase, and had to finalize the hair, skin wriggling, eye burst effect, and other bits after it was returned by the clean-up and color artists at StudioMeala. So, you may notice some bits missing between the roughs and the colored version. (I’ve heard some speculate that the robotic tendrils were CGI — but nope! All hand-drawn.) See you after the next one! #glitchproductions
