This is actually Sigourney Weaver's first time seeing the Queen Alien. She had asked to avoid it before filming to maximize Ripley's shock at meeting her ultimate nemesis face-to-face. Truly, the Queen is the crown jewel (😎) of Stan Winston's 'creature shop'.

James Cameron came on the scene as a filmmaker and blew Stephen Spielberg out of the water, the greatest action film director ever.

As well as a 'puppet', the Alien Queen was also a marionette.

That’s the moment where the heroin meets her nemesis for the first time. Two mothers protect protecting their children against one another.

Most badass female character in cinema, best action sci-fi movie ever made. On pair with Terminator 2, but Aliens is on top for me. Ripley was a perfect role, a proper Officer, mother, lover. A competent character, something lacking in todays entertainment.

My second favorite sci-fi next to the terminator……

Instead of firing at the egg sac maker, she should have shot at the queen's face and body with the grenades.

0:35 I cannot unsee that piece of steel that's holding the Queens head onto the body! With Cameron's 4k version appearing a few years ago I thought he would have used a bit of cgi to cover that hole up. Kinda spoils this scene slightly. Still a great piece of cinema though!

I’m a true believer that the real FX look better than any AI generated image. With today’s technology. A little additional detail with AI combined with old school FX would be tops.
