A game where kids “create” their own cities and economies, infrastructure, shops, etc and see how the community changes (positively or negatively) because of the design. A design game that teaches how peoples’ environment impacts their happiness and the community.

A cool game for kids could be "The Machines" A side scrolling action/adventure game in which the players character has to escape from the "Machines" AKA enemies that are continuously trying to catch the player(s) as they approach closer from the left of the visual field. The player traverses a plethora of obstacles in which they have to learn about the 6 simple machines, the Lever, the Pulley, the Inclined Plane, the Wheel and Axle, the Wedge, and the Screw. This game would involve learning about the machines and the physics involved from gamified perspective. In early levels, players would learn about the kinds of simple machines that exist. As levels progress, players would learn about the different ways these machines can take form, and in later levels be challenged and learn the different ways they can solve obstacles using simple machines in different ways. For instance, imagine a player approaches a gap, or another higher up platform. The player could choose the machine, in this case a seesaw(lever) or draw the machine and drop it in the correct place then cross the obstacle or reach a different part of the map. I imagine speed runs of stages with varying amounts of players, where players will arrive at an obstacle or group of obstacles, and an internal match game mechanism will be triggered to complete a time based task such as "draw or choose the simple machine that works best to clear the obstacle" The kids better learn about The Machines quick. As building machines is the only way to ESCAPE them. Know your enemy! Know The Machines!

A cool game for kids could be....a game where you're in a mall and have to buy different items on your wish list but have to make decisions and your "health" has to recharge by going to the food court, but that costs money too. You can get more money by buying things that can make you money instead of spending it on other stuff (submitted by my 10yo). You can work your way up to owning stores in the mall. It teaches business.

A cool game for kids could be "Hidden Objects: Help the Expert" Can definitely be a fun/educational game where kids have to look around for hidden objects to help various professionals in their fields. For example they can help a Firefighter put out a fire and as they search around looking for the "hidden" objects - every time they find one a short description of how that helps pops up - for example if they found a fire extinguisher . This game can incorporate a limitless amount of professions like the medical profession, marine life, science (can help a mad scientist gather supplies to create a potion!) - etc etc. Once all the hidden objects are found then maybe a short (but fun!) quiz to review all the knowledge they just gained about the various items they just found (of course, make it easy and give them hints in the quiz - like an open book quiz lol) Can also have holiday/theme variations - so for example during Christmas they can help Santa make gifts/deliver gifts etc etc and learn about the power of Christmas! Ta da!! ❤️❤️
