’s message is as important today as ever. 100K understand.

@SirKenRobinson Also applies to teachers. "Must teach from pre-scripted materials. Must work at X pace through school booklets". Arrgghh. Try something, get it wrong - and model how to deal with that. And kids engage/respond so much better when they know it's ok to have a go and get stuff wrong.

@spconnolly @SirKenRobinson There's serious problems with UK education. It's based on competition between children. We have highly talented, highly trained teachers but they're told to teach to tests, with stress and failure built into the system, instead of enabling each child to fulfill their potential.

@SirKenRobinson He’s right… we are leaving children out of education and simply processing numbers. Put children and their creative skills at the top of school agendas.

@SirKenRobinson Thankfully my teachers let me get on with my creativity. It made my career even though I had no other qualifications bar English and BTEC HND. Now teaching kids to be creative and draw funny cartoons. Best video ever, spot on. We need more vocational and creative education.

@SirKenRobinson His book is brilliant on this subject . Totally agree. How come we measure and celebrate creativity in early years but not y6!?

@abbyaug @SirKenRobinson Thank you for sharing this. It is so important. @UKLabour @Conservatives @LibDems @TheGreenParty - all political parties should be thinking about the stress our children are being put under now in the education system, and how to better honour & nurture their innate creativity.

@EnterpriseSBox @SirKenRobinson Wonderful speech. Those of us who teach/coach children should take to heart what Sir Ken has said here.

@SirKenRobinson “Creativity is undervalued, it could save the world” 😊🧠
