Well, the people who embrace Trump are the ones who were already racists and bigots. He didn't create them. He just emboldened them to feel free to be who they are. I worked as a Detroit Firefighter for 34 years, and I was surprised by the election of Obama, then Trump. The are guys I laughed, joked, and saved lives with for years, revealed themselves as who they really were. I was a little hurt. I think the only thing we can do is vote hard and help whoever we can get to the polls.

I don’t consider myself a religious person but even I can see that Trump is the Devil. These people want someone to blame for their failures rather than take accountability for the way their lives turned out.

Your story reminds me of what I read about Hitler dividing the Germans through threats, coercion, fear of Jews and other marginalized groups. Trump is a carbon copy of that vile tyrant and given unrestrained power will act upon his instincts - just like all dictators! Vote Blue!
