I’d say it still depends on the people. “You hurt me by not making something special for me like you did for celiacs and cardiacs” for example still exposes a narcissist, but not the way she means.

The unwillingness to improve themselves as people, the constant need for attention and pushing blame outwards. The suicidal thoughts they can’t stop talking about because it’s a form of manipulation even if it’s genuine. The biggest red flag is moving fast in a relationship.

Context matters and it sounds like you're speaking from a bias experience. Sometimes what you think is someone being dismissing of your feelings is in reality a role reversal. The person pretending to be victimized is the narcisist and they would rather play victim than talk.
