The Syrian army reached the gate of Raqqa city. If they move in and take the city, the SDF will lose most of its leverage. The smart think to do would be to announce a complete withdrawal from all Arab-majority areas of Syria and to negotiate local security and local governance rights for Kurdish-majority areas. But I somehow doubt the YPG-dominated SDF can be that realistic and pragmatic.

From hesitating to refer to the woman who'd become the love of his life 'Alya' to hugging her in front of all and sundry without any stumbling or doubt. And from saying we can't get close to each other to enfolding the man she loves more than her own life in her arms without giving a damn who's watching. These two have come a long way. Their story is one of the best transformations I've seen on the screen. I don't care what anyone says. Give me 10 seasons of this and I'll take them gladly. Such sad news about Dr Michael Mosley ☹️ This recent clip was profound and yet so very simple, "What we buy and then consume has a massive impact on our health.. I managed to reverse my Type 2 Diabetes without medication, simply by losing some weight, and changing my diet" It is said that the best of people are those who add value to other people's lives. Over 4 million in the UK have diabetes, and over 415 million have it world wide I can't explain the science, but the simple message of eating well and the impact it can have on our health eg reversing diabetes, is a massive game changer Michael articulated this - and so many other things - in a friendly, easy to understand way We were in Greece last week and it was very hot. Twice after midday I soaked my hat in water, and on both occassions it dried up in just a few minutes. The heat there at this time of year can be relentless My condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. Thank you for all that you have done Michael. May you rest in peace 🙏

We’ve disconnected all the illegal connections. The tenants are billed monthly for water and electricity, but those funds aren’t paid to the city. The same landlord owns an unsafe apartment block that was built without City approval. We’ve received a court judgement to demolish that apartment block. City of Tshwane
