All physics is out the window when you drop a screw.

The easiest way to find the screw is to go buy another one to finish the job. You will be almost sure to step on the missing screw after.

知らなかった? ネジには足が付いていて 嫌だな〜って思ったら 逃げちゃうんですよ!

I knew as soon as he looked away 😂

He was 100% to blame. You never take your eyes off of it.

Not as bad as dropping a 10mm socket. They teleport to a different dimension the second it leaves your hand

Words cannot express how much I relate to this video 👊🏼🤣

Akshually, this is a real field and is called chaos theory, which is a branch of nonlinear dynamics and classical mechanics And now you know

Nice to know that I'm not the only one this happens to.

happens all the time for sure. The best way to find it is to take off your boots and then you find it easy when you step on it.

It’s equal to dropping a 10mm socket in an engine well.

Never take your eye off it from the time it starts to fall. Or you’ll never see it again.

@kenofish23 60% of the time, this happens every time!

Physics goes out the window because I have found that any object, once dropped, gains sentience. If small, like this screw, it travels to where it is least likely to be found. If heavy, it adjusts it's falling path to land just behind your steel toe.

I dive for the screw without ever losing sight of it. The taller the ladder, the quicker you need to dive so you don’t lose it. Also never stop looking once you find it… keep looking, that’s when you find the good stuff.

Schrodinger's screw...

@kenofish23 Schrödinger's screw. It simultaneously both exists and doesn’t exist.

I hate when that happens

Don't look away, never look away.

This one of the realest tweets I’ve seen in a while!😂

The tape measure is never found on your belt where you swear you left it a minute ago.

Left out the part where you search the area and can't find it but then the wife comes in and steps on it barefoot in the very area where it wasn't before she walked in.

The most truthful thing I’ve seen today!! Boy I feel this video!

For real! Need magnetic pants and sleeves and shoes.

Omg for real. They also travel waaaay further than they should and end up in the friggin weirdest places! So dang frustrating.

so true, grab flashlight and shine it at ground level and look for the shadow.

This entire bit goes through my head all within the time frame between drop & impact. "WOOV WOOV WOOV... Back to the pile"

So it's not just me that experiences this. Cool.

Theoretical physics can explain this phenomenon. Here’s what happens: When the screw is dropped, a tiny wormhole opens in spacetime. At some point in the trajectory of the screw, it simultaneously enters and exits the wormhole, reappearing at the opposite end. This is usually nearby owing to to the small size of the wormhole. Occasionally, a larger wormhole opens where the other side is much farther away (in either space, time or both). In these cases, the screw seems to disappear and is never found by the original owner.

A good flashlight makes shadows that are easier to see.

It is not the screw you can see, it is the small screw that falls unseen and crawls farther than you would’ve expected a screw to be.
