It’s sad we are losing this type of coaching leadership. Sports was about competition & life lessons when you set goals for yourself & as a team. We’ve become obcessed w/individuality at higher level and lower level soft coaching.

I love this! Sometimes the direct truth is what people need. Most people don’t like the truth…. I especially liked the last 30 seconds of this. Lots of wisdom….

All I’ve ever heard from his is complaining. Seriously. I don’t hear him telling them to focus on anything, what to adjust, etc. Hea just like a drunk dad in the stands.

Ole Coach had a dirty mouth, but damn, he spit truth with conviction. The message is invaluable in assessing or deciding if you are truly committed or not. Either you are in or you’re out. YOU DECIDE…

Nope! If you have to talk like that to motivate your players then you are seriously lacking leadership skills

Great stuff, for that era. Players would flock to the Portal if a coach tore into them like that, now.

YES! 👏🏽 Reminds me so much of one of my former coaches. I was raised with that same fire. We lost him to cancer a few years back, rest his soul. 💙
